Chapter 18 - Preparing

It was Friday night and Jen hadn't seen Colin all day. He wasn't on set and when she got to here apartment, he wasn't there as well. 'Strange' she thought. She decided to let it slide for a bit and watch tv. But after an hour and a half, she still hadn't heard Colin. She decided to go to his apartment to see if he was there.

When she arrived, she knocked on the door, but no one opened. She took the key -she had gotten one from Colin- from his apartment and opened the door and stepped inside.

"Babe?" she called out.

No response.

"Colin?"

Again, no response.

"Colin, babe, where are you?" She walked further into the apartment and towards Colin's bedroom. There she heard moans. Carefully and half scared she opened the door. And what she saw there, killed her. Years came in her eyes.

"Colin. What the hell?"

"Oh. Hi, Jen."

"You're laying in bed having sex with your ex-wife! And all you can say is 'Hi Jen'??!" She was crying by now.

"Well, what do you expect me to say? 'Oh, I'm sorry Jen. This isn't what it looks like.' Because, no, Jennifer. This is exactly what it looks like! Do you think I've ever loved you? No one can ever love you! All this time we've been "together" I've done this with Helen! Helen and I never divorced! I just let you think I did!"

The tears couldn't stop running down her face by now. She ran out of the room and to her car. She stepped inside, and drive back to her apartment.

Jen's pov
I woke up and sat straight up. 'It was just a nightmare' I tell myself. I almost jump up when I feel a hand on my back. It was Colin's hand

"Hey, Jen. What's wrong?"

"Nothing. It was just a nightmare."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. Let's just get back to sleep. It's  3 am and it's Comic Con today. An important day and I don't want to be tired."

"Mm okay. Goodnight."

"Yeah. Goodnight."

Colin's pov
We woke up a few hours later. It was 8am. We got up and went to get some breakfast. After breakfast we talked with Lana and Ginny till we had to get ready for the panel. Jen had a white dress with red-ish flowers and some black stripes on. I had a black pair of jeans and a dark blue button-up shirt on. We walked hand in hand towards the place we had to wait for the panel to start. I went to talk to Yvette and told her I want to announce something. She said it was okay and I could do it at the beginning of the panel. If course she asked what it was,  but I told her she had to wait. When it was finally time for the panel to start, I was super nervous. And then it was time.
