Okay, heres the thing... You were probably told when you were young that if you played fair and worked hard, everything would be OK. Hows that working out for you? Have you yet to realize that life isnt about being fair and working hard?

Whatever your reason, take a moment and use this chapter of this book to take an inventory of where your hope lies. Where are you putting your hope? Is it in your career? Your friends? Family? Or even your investments?

The Bible has alot to say about hope. It recognizes that humans live in difficult and twisted world. Where people do unimaginably horrifying things to themselves and others. And as you may have discovered, alot more often then not, things dont always work out as you have planned.

In the midst of this sin-filled world, a compassionate God has sent a rescue plan. It is found in the Gospal of John. It discribes the depths of God's unconditional love for you. For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Nothing and No one can offer as much as what Jesus can offer. By coming to live among us He knows what it is like to face life. He knows what it is like to face death but wins.

He offers to share his kingdom with you and his power. When you live in His power you can face a battering series of circumstances with hope: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

He offers to give you a Future: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you wil seek Me and find Me, when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13

He offers you peace: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

He offers you rest: Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I a gental and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28,29

He offers you forgivness: In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgivness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. Ephesians 1:7

God knows my name and yours. Hes calling all of his children (us) to follow him and come to him. Dont turn away... Seek Him with all your heart.
