Mulder's pov

"What do you think, Scully? Pretty weird, right?" Mulder asks his partner, who's currently giving him the look she always does after he tells her about an odd case he's come along.

    "I don't know Mulder...what's your theory, anyways?"

"Well I was thinking about how the man vanished and it's possible we could be dealing with a certain creature of the night." She raises her brows in disbelief at her partner's theory, nothing new there. Though sarcastic, Scully is also loyal.

"Come on the case is right here in the city anyways, whether my theory is right or not, I think it's worth checking out."

"Okay, let's go. But I'm driving."

Mulder smiles a little while they head out, he can't believe Scully has actually put up with being his partner for two years, already.  Once they get to the murder scene in an old warehouse the agents are greeted by police officer Davis who gives them a rundown on the situation. Asian Male, mid thirties, murdered, two gun shots to the chest. Witnesses say they saw a Caucasian male, mid forties at the scene before reporting that he had practically vanished into thin air. No murder weapon has been found either.

Mulder turns to Scully, "What do you think." he asks.

"Well, I'm not sure yet mulder. I think we need to find out more about the victim first and find the motive behind the murder."

"Already ahead of you, I've got his home address right here."

They drive over to the victim's home which isn't too far. Scully knocks on the door and  a woman opens the door shorty after.

"Hello?" The woman at the door says.

"Hello, are you Mrs. Woo?" Mulder asks her.

    "Yes, what's this about."

"I'm agent Mulder and this is agent Scully, we're from the FBI. We'd like to ask you a few questions about your husband, Henry."

She see's them into the living room and pours some tea. It's a nice house, pretty large with beautiful art and pottery that looks like it's from China or Japan. Mulder notes the grandness of the home and expensive decor. Jenny proceeds to tell them that Henry would never hurt anyone, that he cared very much for her and making sure she always had what she needed and then some. When the agents ask what his occupation was she said he was a successful business man. After about twenty minutes they leave the home.  Then in the car ride back to bureau they discuss the case.

"Whatever business Mr. Woo was in it paid well huh?"

"Looked like it." Scully answers. "I'm thinking business deal gone bad, revenge, possible drug relation. We'll have to look into co-workers, family members and anyone who was recently fired from his place of work."

Just as they're almost back  to the bureau Scully gets a call from officer Davis who tells her they've found a witness. Mulder agrees to go to talk to the witness and Scully stays at headquarters to do some research on the victim. When Mulder gets to the police station officer Davis is waiting for him at the front desk.

"Agent Mulder, did your partner tell you about the witness?"

"Yes, I'm here to question them."

"Follow me." He leads him down a hallway. "The witness's name is Avery Collins. Caucasian female, nineteen, wrong place wrong time. Says she heard a struggle from outside the warehouse saw what went down and had been too scared to leave the scene until we found her." Mulder nods. processing the information. Poor girl she must of been terrified. The officer opens the door to the interrogation room where Mulder see's the girl for the first time. He notices that she has light brunette hair that's slightly curled. It lays just over her collarbone before she flicks it off her shoulder. She seems very upset and nervous, she's slightly biting at her nails before she looks up at him.
