Chapter Eighteen

♥Rochelle♥

“And here’s your poster,’ I drawled, signing the girl’s poster of me, before handing it back to her.

Her eyes shined. “OMG thank you so so so much!”

Ugh, just hurry up and move on! I didn’t have all day!

Obviously, I didn’t say that. So I just plastered on a fake sparkly smile, and declared “Next, please!”

Geez, autograph signing was just so dreary and dull! At first I loved it, all the attention and adoration were all directed at me, but then it started getting boring and tedious. The fans were all the same. OMG I’m meeting Rochelle Waters, I love your movies, I love you so much! Yes, everyone loves me.

After signing a few more, I twisted in my seat to face Goldie who was standing behind me, tapping away on her iPad.

“Goldie, can we stop this now?” I drawled.

Goldie chewed her lip. “But Rochelle, there’s a queue of people snaking out of the shopping mall and into the car park! We can’t just keep them waiting, some of them have driven quite a long way to come and see you!”

I rolled my eyes, waving my hand casually. “I don’t care! This beauty needs to freshen up before her date with Sam!”

Goldie looked confused. “Sam? As in Sam Taylor? How come you never informed me about this? I need to reshuffle your schedule!”

I signalled at the security guards, who nodded, and started pushing the people outside, telling them the meet-and-greet was over. Thank goodness.

“Listen Goldie, you’re my personal assistant,” I snapped, glaring at her. “You should be able to adapt to whatever things I’m doing. If you don’t, you’re fired. And I can easily replace you, with a click of my fingers. There are MILLIONS of people who would die to have your job. So do it properly.”

Goldie looked really scared and nodded quickly, whimpering. Good.

I stood up, throwing my scarf over me with a flourish.

It was time to dress up for Sam Taylor, make him fall in love with me, then stamp all over his heart like it was eggshells.

✪Sam✪

“Dude, I’m nervous,” I told my friend, Duncan, who was waiting for his older brother to pick him up.

Duncan rolled his eyes. “Geez, you sound like some sissy! This is your childhood best friend that you’re nervous about!”

I rolled my eyes back at him. “Yeah, my childhood best friend who I haven’t seen in nearly 10 years!’

Duncan waved his hand, carelessly. “Whatever. Look don’t worry-okay? Just be yourself or whatever that chick advice is.”

I nodded, jiggling my hands. I can do this. Yes, I can definitely do this.

“Well good luck man,” Duncan said, beckoning at the incoming limo that was cruising into the car park.

It definitely turned heads, and people tried to suss out who the car was picking up. They looked surprised when it screeched to a halt by me.

Rochelle flung open the door, and I sucked in a breath.

She looked breathtaking.

Her hair was coiling down in beachy, beautiful waves, and she was wearing a blue summer dress that fitted her perfect. She had expensive looking earrings in her ears that were dazzling in the light. Wow.
