Blinded Tomorrow

Chapter 5

(Reformed's PoV)

Where am I? It's dark. Memories flash in my mind. No! I cover my head with my hands and bring my knees towards my body. I must've made a sound because someone opened up door. I was planning on rushing out.

"Don't even think about trying to get out. The guard outside the door is way stronger than an injured Reformed," the person explained. Did she read my mind? I said 'she' because the person had a female voice. No, that's stupid. Anyone locked inside a dark room, not knowing how they got there would obviously make them want to get out.

"If you have any questions speak now. before she gets here," the woman put an emphasis on the word 'she' for some reason.

"Where am I? How did I get here? Who is 'she'? Who are you? What are you going to do with me?" I flash question to her one after another.

"You are in my lab. You were brought to me. 'She' is the one who beat you. I am Astarlica. I am going to test on you," she answers calmly. Now I'm starting to get a bit worried. What the heck does she mean by test? Like, dissecting or is she going to attach me to a shock machine?

"Star?" a voice from outside calls? It sounds familiar. I can hear a sigh come from this Astarlica person.

"Naviiva, he's awake," Astarlica says with the least amount of interest.

"Ok. And again. Just call me Navi," the voice sighs this time. Another person is entering the room.

"I'm surprised you didn't kill him"

"Does it matter? You got the test subject you wanted."

"Yea I know. Thanks again."

(Navi's PoV)

"Yea I know. Thanks again," I respond.

Never mind that, the Reformed is awake. II'll start interrogating him now. He seems very calm. Unlike when Navi fought him. He was calm then but he was still fighting wildly. My only guess is that he was unconscious while he was attacking her. Should've realized that earlier.

"What do you want?" he asks cautiously.

"I'm just gonna ask you questions. Depending on your answers depends on what kind of 'test' Star here will put you through."

"Well start. I don't I can get out of here since I'm injured." he replies. This will be fun.

I asked him the basic questions such as, what is your name, age, height, and what he favors. He told me his name is Derek Silverline. He's around my age, 21. He asked me why I would want to know his height. I'm not sure why either. the higher-ups told me to ask him that. He just ignored the next question. Time for the ones that determines his fate.

"Why do you fight for the Renewed if you know you were once a Previous?" I was really confused to this. Why fight the people you once were. I don't know what he looked like but he was really still and quiet. Next question I guess.

"Do you have any memories of your previous life?" Again. Silence. Tch.

"Star. Use 'that' one on him. I'll be ready for him in 3 days time."
