I was so shocked for words, I felt like I didn't hear Evelyn, 'Maddie is the mother of...'

'Cristiano Jr? Yeah, believe it or not. It was years ago, Maddie was young and free. I was pretty pissed because he was my brother and she was my best friend. So awkward. But Maddie was too scared and she's so humble, she doesn't know how to bring children up. My brother didn't want anyone to know, so he paid her off. So yeah, what I'm trying to say is, that Cris Jr doesn't know who his mother is. But he's weirdly attracted to Maddie, which shows the link of a mother and son.'

I watched Evelyn ramble on, explaining everything to me. Maddie is like twenty four, so she must have had Cris Jr when she was twenty. Looking at Maddie, she looked so young and incapable of having a child, especially at the age that she was back then.

'Oh,' was all I could say but I didn't say no more because we heard the sound of a car parking.

♔ Maddie's POV ♔

A car had drove into the front porch. I sat still, way too cold from sitting outside for a long time. I watched Cristiano Jr jump out of the car.

'Maddie! Dad, look it's Maddie!' he shrieked as he ran over to me.

I didn't know how to react but I hugged him hard.

When Cristiano asked me what I wanted, I said that I wanted my child to have a good life and that wouldn't be with me. I was too young and stupid to know how to take care of a child. So I told Cris that I was okay with him taking full care of the child but now when Cris Jr was in my arms, I didn't know what to think.

'I missed you,' I muttered as he hugged me.

'I missed you too, Maddie,' he smiled, then ran inside the house, leaving me alone. Well not exactly. Cristiano had just got out of the car and began to make his way to the house.

'Maddie, you look cold, what happened? Why don't you come inside?' Cris asked, as he shoved his car keys in his pocket.

'Oh, just been through rejection. I have no one, I feel lonely,' I mumbled, shrugging my shoulders.

'You can stay here, for a bit at least. If it's boy drama, I am absolutely terrible at that stuff but you can come in and talk to me about it? After I put Cris Jr to bed of course.'

'Can I help put him to sleep?' I questioned him, hinting to him that I missed Cris Jr.

'Sure.'
