Maya Hart, a 16 year old girl, walking through life with her best friend, Riley Matthews, by her side. She has two other best friends named Lucas Friar and Farkle Minkus. She loves art and has a secret love for singing and songwriting. In fact, she has a bag that has three things that she takes everywhere. Her phone, her sketch book, and her brown leather song book. She never lets anyone look in the song book, or touch it.

Maya's POV

I sat there, in my room, by myself, after school. Just me and my song book. I was going through it, reading some of my old songs. They weren't that good. I didn't want to ask for anybody else's opinion. I wanted to write something new, something fresh, but I don't know what. My phone went off.

Rileyyy: hey, wanna come over and study??? plz, i suck at spanish :((

Me: sure ;) see u in 10

Rileyyy: kk thnx

You could call us your typical american teenagers, living in New York, but it's so much more than that.
