Chapter 1 Old Friends

Third PoV~ 

"Wow this place changed." Laurance says scanning over the new and improved nether. The home of the shadow knights has changed since he was last here. An upgrade than how it originally was. 

"Long time no see Laurance," a low raspy voice spoke to Laurance. 

Laurance turned revealing who the voice came from. Midnight black hair and dark teal told Laurance who it was. Gene. "A old friend is wanting to see you..."

A soft chuckle left his lips, "Not even a simple hello. Alright, where is the old friend."

"Where the Shadow Lord stood."

Laurance nodded before turning down the Nether Brick path. Turning corners and peering out the fence windows. Peering through the windows to see the bright lava pool below the Nether Forest. The heat from the lava wasn't bad to him, just something to get use to again. 

As he turned the corner, a gate stood between him and where the Shadow Lord stood. The Shadow Lord was only a shadow before. He thought someone took over the position since he's been gone. Pushing open the gate, he saw the room the Shadow Lord stood.  Walking in, he stared at the Shadow. It wasn't the same Shadow the Shadow Lord was.

"Where is the person looking for me?" Laurance asks the 'shadow'.

The 'shadow' smiles creepily, "You're looking at her, Laurance."

Laurance recognized that voice from anywhere, "I know that voice...."

The 'shadow' rose inches off the platform, raising their arms. A light slowly went down the 'shadow's body' reveling the beautiful h/c hair and stunning e/c eyes. Her crimson red and coal black armor touched the ground. She smiled down at Laurance.  

"Y/N!" Laurance yelled, running to give her a hug. She embraced him with a warm welcome. He ran his long fingers through her hair holding her close. "Long time no see, old friend."

It has been so long since Laurance has last seen Y/n. Laurance and Y/n were shadow knights together before Laurance left back to the Overworld. Leaving her alone in the fortress with Gene and the other knights. 

They let go of each other and Y/n pointed to a spot on the floor, "Here lay down." He did as he was told laying his back down. Dark magic came from her hand, he didn't know what she was doing. But it didn't hurt him and he trusted her.

"What was that?" He asks sitting up.

"We can talk more I will tell you on our way to Phoenix Drop," she answered dusting her hands off on her armor.

"Bu-"

Y/n placed her finger tip on his mouth, "Trust me, Laurance. Even though I'm the Shadow Lord now, there is noting different between me now and then."

Laurance nodded with a smile and Y/n walked to the Nether Portal. He didn't know what she meant by 'I'm the Shadow Lord now' expect she was teh the Shadow Lord. But he didn't know how she became the Shadow Lord and he wanted to know.

"Gene. Close the Nether Portal behind me." Y/n told Gene. He gave Y/n a simple nod.

"Oh by the way Gene. Sasha said hi." Laurance tells him.

"Tell her I said, Hi too, Laurance."

"Will do" he says and leaves the Nether.

Your POV

I see Dante in front of me standing in the guard post. He notices me and gets in position to attack, as I stood unarmed in my Shadow Knight form. Though, I could do a lot of damage one.

I look behind me at Laurance, who I had hiding in behind a tree in the forest, "Come out."

Laurance came out from behind the tree. Dante dropped his swords to the ground and ran up to him to give hug. I watch as they embrace each other.

"Laurance! Where have you been?"

Laurance didn't answer that question.

"Ok, then who is the Shadow Knight here?"

Before Laurance could answer. I answer getting straight to my point, "My name is Y/n, pleasure meeting you. Laurance his an old friend of mine. May I speak to Lady Aphmau?"

It toke Dante a bit to answer that but, soon he nodded, "She is over here. She's crowded so it may be hard to talk to her."

I shook my head with a smile. I peek around Dante to see a crowd surrounding Lady Aphmau. Easy plan, "It won't be. Laurance come!"

"LAURANCE!?!" Lady Aphmau pushes through the crowd to see Laurance standing beside me. Aphmau ran to him and gave him a hug, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?!"

Laurance just smiled, as I took a step in to talk, "Laurance doesn't want to talk about. Lady Aphmau can you bring me to where your portal used to stand?"

Aphmau started to walk over there, with me following behind.

"Here..." she said as a tear falls down her face

"I'm sorry for your loss. Your going to see this and question me all you want."

I put my hands together to revealing runes of Shad, Zane's Jury Of Nine form. And shattered out remains of the portal, which only I can see unless in my hands.

"W-What are those...?" Aphmau asks.
