Chapter 15 Just Mother And Daughter Time

Your POV

I placed my child into the crib wrapping her up in a small blanket. I had just finished feeding her carrots and potatoes then she feels fast asleep.

I kissed her forehead, "Have a nice sleep, Love."

I smile as I exit the room closing the door behind me with my foot. Heading downtown o the kitchen where Dante and Kawaii~Chan are eating.

"You put her to sleep quick, Y/n~Sama. She never slept this fast in months," Kawaii~Chan comments.

"She right. It took us both an hour before she slept anywhere," adds Dante.

"What did you feed her?" I question sitting across from them.

"Mashed squash?" Dante answers questioning what he said.

"Abby never liked that. So, that's why I fed her what I always fed Abby. Carrots and potatoes," I explain remembering feeding Abby.

"Oh, but we fed Layla~Chan both of that food before," Kawaii~Chan remembers.

"Mixed together?"

They both went dead silence for a bit. Avoiding eye contact with me. "No..." Dante spoke up.

I began to laugh, "It's fine. You didn't know the tricks I had for my kid." Smirking at them both.

They joined me laughing.

'I miss these moments with people. In the nether, we never laughed. Maybe smiled. Once a month.'

"Do you need anything to eat?" Kawaii~Chan asks getting up from her seat grabbing more bread.

"I'll take a slice of bread. Then I am heading out," I answer picking up my bag from the table seat.

"Where to?" Dang questions.

"Around. Phoenix Drop has changed a lot since I was last here, two years fours months and three days," I mumble the last bit.

"It has been that long?" Dante sounded amazed by hearing that. "It felt like it was so much longer."

"Well remember Dante~Kun. She did have Layla, keeping her at home a lot," she mentions to her lover.

"True. I was really busy with guard duty around the time she was born," Dante recalls.

"Yep. Only showing up for a few minutes to give me food," I chuckle throwing my bag over my shoulder.

"Do you need money?" Kawaii~Chan questions reaching for her pink leather bag.

"No, I have some left at my old house. If it is still there," I state stepping out the door. "Have a good day."

'I wonder how Laurance is doing... Zenix better be helping him out...'

I placed the food I got on the kitchen counter. Dante and Kawaii~Chan have left to go on a date together.

Laurance and I have wanted to go on one forever. We never had time when Layla was born, we did when I was still pregnant.

"Mommy!"

I felt something wrap around my legs making me almost lose my balance. "Layla! How was your nap?"

"Good!"

I pick her up giving her kisses all over her face. She giggled the entire time.

"Mommy! Food!"

"Alright! What do you want?" I ask her pinching her cheek.

"Berry!" she cheers.

"Let me set you down, then you can choose which one," I say placing her down on the chair.
