Ever since the aggression appeared in the infected, all economy began collapsing, because for some reason, prices were higher than ever.

A car parked in a driveway, and a man stepped out, carrying groceries and a list from the government. The list had many supplies recommended by the government for the so called Zombie Virus.

The man walked past a cat, which the man ignored until the cat gave a soft meow. The man noticed and unlocked and opened the door and held it up, saying, "Come inside, Carter, your gonna have to stay inside for now. The cat, called Carter, stood up and silently stepped inside. The man followed and closed the door.

Out of his grocery bags were lots of canned food, lots of jerky, lots of water bottles, a filtering water bottle, some cat food, and 3 knives. He set the water bottles in a cooler and the canned food and jerky in a duffle bag, which he set beside the cooler. He looked at the list and grimaced. "If this "Zombie Virus" just blows over, and I'm broke, I'm gonna sue that store.", he muttered.

He flipped to the back of the list. "How to survive.", he read aloud to himself. "Avoid contact with infected. Use your food and water sparingly. Board up your house. Only let trusted people inside. If they have any bite marks on them, do not trust them. If you are bit, please take a ZXVC-341 vaccine to rid the body of infection."

He heard a knock on the door. He grabbed one of the pocket knives, flipped the blade open, and slowly opened the door.

"Harvey, you gotta help me out, man, m-my wife, Sarah, she t-turned and almost got me, but she got my roommate, man, please, I snagged the only food and water I could...", the visitor said quickly.

The man, apparently called Harvey, smiled. "Come in. Put any food in that duffle bag over there -he pointed towards the duffle bag- and any water in the cooler beside it.", he said. "Oh, and Dean, since your over here, I'm gonna need help barricading the house. Could you to into the garage and put all the wood planks into one pile, nails into another, and tools into yet another pile. Oh, and there should be some metal bars out there too."

~<After about an hour>~

The 2 men admired their work. They had securely boarded up each window, each door, each opening. They had sealed up the basement too, after looting it, because it directly led to a ladder, which led to a small wooden shed that could easily be broken down.

Harvey sat down in a chair after plugging in several phone batteries. He read another part of the list. "Always use your purifying water bottle when collecting water. If you or another non infected is bit, that person has an hour before the virus takes hold. Eradicate them before they turn."

Dean suddenly got up and left the room quickly. Harvey heard a groan. He got up to follow, but grabbed a pocket knife and put it in his pocket.

"Dean? Dude, are you ok? I understand that your wife died, but-"

Harvey jumped when he entered the room. Dean had turned a ghostly pale color and blood was oozing from a small bite on his arm.

He turned to look at Harvey and yelled before charging at him. Harvey had little time to react before Zombie-Dean had him pinned to the ground.

It was all just a blur to Harvey. One second his friend was perfectly fine, then he was grabbing his arm, trying to bite it, and finally he succeeded.

Harvey screamed as blood splatter in various directions. He made weak attempts at grabbing his pocket knife and also succeeded in grabbing it and stabbing Zombie-Dean multiple times. Finally, Zombie-Dean let go.

Harvey stared at the wound, arms shaking and little whines coming out of him every so often. Carter came in, wondering what the commotion was. He sensed that Harvey was in pain and silently walked over to sit in his lap.

Harvey then looked at the small cat, who meowed, and Harvey began petting him. "1 hour...", he muttered.
