Leigh-Anne held her hair back as she emptied the contents of her stomach into the toilet bowl. This had been the third time this morning she had done this.
When she was finished, she flushed the toilet then crawled to wall. She closed her eyes and leaned her head against the cool tiled wall. Her head was spinning and the putrid taste of vomit lingered in her mouth. She sighed.
A couple minutes passed, she couldn't bear the disgusting taste in her mouth any longer. She slowly climbed to her feet then reached for her toothbrush and paste. She brushed her mouth getting rid of the bacteria from the night before and stomach acid from the vomit.
Her phone rang from her bedroom. She spat out the toothpaste and quickly rinsed her mouth and toothbrush. She replaced her toothbrush then turned to get her phone.
Her quick movements didn't agree with her head as another wave of dizziness washed over her. She gripped the wall with one hand and held her head with the other. It soon stopped. She exited the en suite bathroom that lead to her room. She took her phone off her charger and sat on her bed. When she unlocked it, she saw that the missed call was from her best friend and bandmate, Jade. She pressed the redial button then placed the phone against her ear. Jade picked up on the third ring.
"Hi Leigh." Jade chirped down the phone line, her Geordie accent as strong as ever.
Leigh-Anne mentally groaned at her cheerful friend. It was too early to be this happy.
"Hi Jade. What's up?" Leigh-Anne replied. She laid down on her bed and stared at the ceiling waiting for the brunette to reply.
"Just giving you a reminder that we have to be in the studio by eight."
Leigh-Anne turned to look at the clock on her bedside table. The red numbers glared at her. They read 7:35AM. She yawned and rubbed her eyes nodding. Then she remembered Jade can't see her.
"Yeah, I didn't forget. I'll be there."
"Good. One more thing before you go."
"What's that?"
"You don't sound like your regular self. Are you okay?"
'No! I just puked my guts into the toilet.' She thought.
"No. I'm alright. I...I just didn't get much sleep last night."
"Oh." She said unconvinced. "Want me to come pick you up? If your tired you shouldn't be on the road, especially with your driving skills." She said laughing towards the end.
"Hey! I've gotten better." Leigh chuckled.
"I know. Anyways I have to go. See you later."
"Okay bye."
She hung up and tossed the phone next to her. She stared at the ceiling, her thoughts consuming her. She thought about her life. Her band. Her fans. Her family. Her boyfriend. In other people's eyes she lived the perfect life. She thought she did. But life is a funny thing. It's unpredictable.
...
Leigh-Anne was the third to arrive at the studio. She walked into the waiting room where she saw Jade and Jesy in deep conversation.
"Morning." Leigh-Anne said before taking a seat next to the two brunettes.
"Morning Leigh." They said in unison.
"Perrie's late as usual?" She asked chuckling.
"No. I'm right here." The blonde said walking in.
