DESTINED FOREVER

CHAPTER 6

AT CAFE

Randhir was sitting and waiting for Sanyukta.

"These girls can never come on time."

"Sorry sorry.... I was caught in traffic." Came Sanyukta running apologizing and sat down infront of him, sweat drops visible on her forhead and her panting made it more sure how she came running.

"Its ohk. Drink some water" Randhir offered her the glass of water, which Sanyukta took and gulped the whole glass in one go.

"Wow you were really thirsty" exclaimed Randhir.

"So why you called me Mr. Randhir to meet."

"Look Sanyukta, I don't want to beat around bush so I am asking you directly, Do you love me seriously Sanyukta? I mean are you really up for this marriage? Even after how I leave you suddenly or looking how workholic I am?" There was a silence of ten-minute. Sanyukta did not expected Randhir to question her so directly about her feelings. So she took time to process the words which left his mouth. Here Randhir was anciously waiting for her reply.

"Yes I do Randhir." Came her reply. Sincerity easily heard in her vouce, love dripping from her eyes.

"What if I die? What will you do?" Came next question from Randhir.

"Hmmm this is something intresting. If you die I will mive-on. I mean I cannot waste my life, moreover we are not even married yet. I can find aome one more hot and handsome, marry him and hsve kids with him" She replied in joke but Randhir took her words seriously. His heart twitched but he smiled on hearing her reply.

Randhir(in mind)-"I am not hurt listening to your reply, but I am happy. I don't want you to destroy your life for me. I am happy that you are ready to move-on in life, if something happens to me. All I want is your happiness. I will make sure that you don't have to leave me anyday. I will sort out everything."

"But I am not letting you go anywhere Sanyukta. Engaged or not you are trapped with me for life and after." Randhir said.

Sanyukta-"oh yes I know. I hust wish this dialogue was said by Siddharth instead of you."

Randhir-"you wish, but I am your Reality madam. Roam anywhere in your imagination, but in the end you have to come back to me in reality."

Sanyukta-"ok fine. Now will you keep flattering yourself or feed me also?" They ordered and started to chit-chat, leaving behind the serious talk.

Later Randhir decuded to drop Sanyukta back her house. They were driving while Sanyukta was singing along songs in the radio, that played in the car.

They were a few blocks away from Sanyukta's complex, when Randhir stopped the car.

Sanyukta-"its ohk I understand it will cost you lot of petrol to drop me till ny complex. I will get down here only." She said with sarcasm, took her bag and was about to leave when Randhir caught her wrist and stopped her.

Randhir-"Sanyu actually I have something for you, but you need to close your eyes."

Sanyukta-"wow surprise not bad. I think I need to check that from where did the sun rose today?" She joked and closed her eyes.

She felt a cold tinge in her neck, when she opened her eyes she found a heart shaped platinum-diamond pendent that had engraved 'Sandhir Forever' in it in small but pretty letters.

Sanyukta-"Randhir its beautiful."

Randhir-"it is a promise of me and you, of us, together forever. No matter if I am there or not physically, but this will be with you forever."

Sanyukta just smiled and took her hand and brought out a chain which she was wearing, and tied it around Randhir's neck.

Randhir looked to find a gold chain, with a gold-diamond pendant of Lordess Durga.

Sanyukta-"I know Randhir it is nothing infront of your gift but it is my belief. You know Papa gave this to me when I was young, this Goddess Durga is my guru-mantra which my Dad gave me. To be strong, not to give-up, be a loving woman but at the same time be the ferocious fighter. He believed that she will protect me from all dangers of life and she did. I never take it down from my neck but today I want to give it to you Randhir. She will protect you, it will have the power of Goddess and my love. It is a sign that no matter what, my love will be there to protect you always. Any danger that comes your way will have to face my love. And Trust me my love is strong to fight anything and everything in this world. This is my promise to you, a proof of my love for Sandhir."

Both of them smiled at the new exchange of token of love. Then Sanyukta again started to leave the car when Randhir again stopped her.

"Now what?" she asked curiously.

"I have vowed to fulfill all your dreams and wishes Sanyukta. So how can I break my promise?" Randhir said. Before Sanyukta could figure out anything Randhir gentally kissed her lips.
