(Y/n)'s POV

Zero carried me all the way back to Cross Academy. We got a few weird looks from people but I couldn't care less.

"(Y/n)?! What did you do to her?" Aido asked while glaring at Zero.
"It's alright, Aido. I'm fine." Zero put me down and scoffed.
"I would have loved to kill her," Zero stated.
"And you expect us to just let you kill a pureblood?"
"Tch." Zero walked away without looking back.
"Hey (Y/n), are you alright?" Aido asked worriedly.
"I'm fine, I can handle this." Ruka came out.
"We smelt blood..." she said.
"I'm sorry for having caused you the trouble to come out here." Her eyes widened before she quickly bowed down.
"To have a pureblood apologise to me... I cannot accept it," she replied.
"Stand up, I have no power over you-"

A twig snapped. I quickly used my power to make them in as much mental pain as possible. Huh? It was only Cain. I stopped immediately.

"Please forgive me." He steadied himself against a tree.
"No power over us, huh?" he asked while panting.
"I'm sorry." Aido helped me back to my room. When we got inside (your room), there was a sudden knock on the door.
"I'll get it," Aido said. He opened the door and came face to face with Yuki.
"Oh, hi Yuki," Aido greeted cheerfully.
"Hi Aido-senpai, I came to see (Y/n)." He let her in.
"Zero came back in a sour mood and the only thing he said was that he was with you- What happened to you?!" She examined my leg.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine-"
"Are you sure? Because every time someone says that, they're not..."
"Yes, I'm sure." Kaname was at the door.
"Yuki, do not trouble yourself with (Y/n). She is a pureblood, she can handle it," he exclaimed.
"K-Kaname-senpai! (Y/n)'s a pureblood vampire?! I-I'm sorry, I didn't know." She quickly bowed in front of me.
"It's alright, Yuki. Kaname wants to talk to you so you should be off."
"O-okay, bye." She smiled then left with Kaname. Aido helped tend to my wound.
"Don't worry about it, it'll heal in time."
"But I can't stand by doing nothing while my best friend's injured," he replied. *sigh* I let him help me after a few debates.
"Goodnight (Y/n), I'm off," he said with a smile.
"Goodnight Aido."

He left and quietly shut the door. I changed into my pj's and sat on my bed, reading a book that I never got the chance to read. After a while, I checked the time. Oh...I had better go to sleep.

~The next day~

I woke up and got ready. There was about an hour before class started so I decided to walk around for a bit. Hopefully it wouldn't be like last time. I headed to the areas with more nature in hopes of finding a companion.

I saw a bird standing on a tree branch. It chirped as I neared it. I smiled at it and held out my finger. After a few seconds, it came down and stood on my outstretched finger.

"Hello little one, you must be having a good life out there..." It just looked at me and chirped as if to tell me that things would get better.
"Well, I hope they will.

It looked at me before flying away. Someone was behind me. This scent seemed so familiar. I turned around.

"What are you doing out here, vampire?"
"None of your business, Toga."
"Tch, I would've killed all of the vampires here if it wasn't for that Headmaster."
"Thanks for helping me with my mother."
"I didn't do it to help you, she was just on the list. I wish I got that chance to kill her," he replied while looking at me with a scowl before leaving me here by myself.

*sigh* I leaned against a tree. Why was he here anyway? I went back to the dorms to find Aido being confronted by two business men.

"Be on your way now. I don't take day jobs, bye." He pushed them out the door. I smiled at this.
"Hey, not funny," he exclaimed while stretching. Yuki came down the stairs with Kaname. Zero came in.
"Yuki?!" He glared at all of us.
"Stay away from them, especially her," he said in a serious tone.
"Hey, if you have a problem with me, I'm okay with it. But if you touch or even talk to my friends like that, I won't hesitate to hurt you. What she did is between us. You know, there's a difference between good and bad." He just glared at me, grabbed Yuki and walked off. Everyone was staring at me.
"What?"
"N-nothing," Ruka replied hesitantly. We all went to class. Oh...that was why he was here. As a 'teacher'.
"I am your new teacher, vampires, Yagari-sensei. You try to talk back to me and/or hurt me, I won't hesitate to hunt you down..."

I sighed and sat down in my seat. Halfway throughout our lesson, I looked out the window and saw Zero standing by the window sill. He made eye contact with me and quickly went away. Why did he have to have a thing against all vampires? It was just my mother...

"(Y/n)!"
"Yes?"
"Answer this now!" Toga growled at me. It seemed as if the room turned dark. Their eyes all glowed red.
"You have no right to speak to her like that," Ruka stated.
"Remember my warning."

I quickly answered the question to stop this arguing. Class was dismissed after a few minutes. Apparently it was Ichijou's birthday today.

"(Y/n), you're invited too," he told me with a smile.
"Thank you." I went to my room to get ready for tonight.
