(Y/n)'s POV
Zero wrote down the instructions for making the dish while I waited.
"Here, follow that method. Don't mess up," he exclaimed.
"Okay, I won't."He prepared the other stuff while I began making the main dish. Some time later, he looked at me, surprised.
"What?"
"You're...actually quite good," he commented.
"Really? Thanks."
"I thought you had no experience in cooking."
"I don't, I just followed your instructions like you told me to." He almost choked while drinking water.
"What?"
"I never expected someone to be able to cook so well in just a few minutes."
"Oh."
"Well, I guess that was to be expected of a pureblood." I smelt something...like burnt food.
"Zero, it's burning."
"What?!" He immediately grabbed a jug of water and poured it onto the burning food.
"I'll clean it, you can cook."
"No, I'll clean it since I was the one that made the mess," he exclaimed.
"It's rude of a guest to just stand there and do nothing."
"The host is supposed to do everything."
"*sigh* This is getting nowhere- oh wait."I immediately paid attention to the dishes I was cooking as they might've got burnt. I started doing the finishing touch of the dishes and set it out on the plates. Zero had just finished cleaning.
"Sorry."
"You didn't do anything," he replied.
"I made you do the cleaning."
"Not really, the food needed attention." I smiled.
"What?" he asked.
"You made it sound like the food was my boyfriend or something." He smiled as well.
"I wasn't trying to."
"Well, hope you weren't. I have no plans on getting a boyfriend."
"Oh, why?"
"N-no reason." He just shrugged off the topic. I took the plates out to the table.
"Wow, this looks delicious," Yuki exclaimed.
"Thanks but Zero did most of it."
"You were the one that made it," he said.
"But you were the one that gave me the instructions."
"*sigh* Whatever." I sat down in a nearby seat and stared at my food.
"Aren't you hungry?" Yuki asked.
"Not really, I'm sorry."
"What are you apologising for?" she asked, confused.
"I made all that food and yet...I'm not eating any of it. A waste of food..."
"Don't worry about it, you just made my lunch for tomorrow. So thank you," she exclaimed happily.
"Well, I'll be going back now. See you later-"
"Wait," Zero said.
"Why?"
"She'll come back."
"I'm fine. How do you think I survived for all these years?" He pushed the food away and stood up.
"Let's go," he exclaimed and grabbed my hand then dragged me off.
"Bye guys." When we were in the Night Dorms, everyone looked up and stared at Zero.
"What is that level E doing here?" Ruka asked.
"Ruka, is that how you usually treat guests? And I was forced to bring him along."
"How dare you force (Y/n) to bring you here?!" Aido asked, sort of angered.
"I don't think he cares about status nor rank. Just let him be. Take care of him, I'm going to my room." They bowed.
"Yes, Miss (Y/n)." Zero grabbed my hand.
"What is it this time?"
"I'm not staying with them." I sighed.
"Fine." He followed me to my room.
"Oh and you are not staying here the whole night."
"You cannot control me," he replied.
"Oh really?" I eyed him and told him to leave. He forced himself to stay.
"Leave...now." He resisted and stayed where he was.
"You won't force me out of here."
"Is it willpower? If it is then you sure have a lot." I took my pj's and went to the bathroom to get changed.
"Isn't it boring to just stay in my room? I mean, you can go talk to Yuki or something. Aren't you also part of the Disciplinary Committee?"
"I only go if the trouble's serious," he replied casually. I sweatdropped.
"The trouble always is serious."
"Not always..." I stretched.
"Anyway, I'm going to bed. You're welcome to stay in the guest rooms." I hopped onto bed and pulled my blanket over myself. He just stood there watching me.
"Can you please not stand there watching me sleep? It's creepy and awkward." I smiled then added, "like you."
"Eh?! You're the creepy and awkward one."
"Says the one that never opens up to anyone."
"Like yourself."
"Whatever..." I turned my back to him, hoping to get rid of the 'someone's watching you' feeling. I heard him yawn.
"Tired?"
"Tch."
"I'll take that as a yes. Anyway, wait here."
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"Just outside, just stay here-"
"But-"
"Promise me you will stay here?" He looked into my eyes and sighed.
"Yeah yeah, fine." I went outside and found Aido eavesdropping on us.
"Aido?"
"Y-yeah?"
"Forget everything you just heard. Also, I need an extra bed for him."
"Can't he just share the same bed with you?" he asked while smirking.
"Hahaha no."
"But we don't have any extra beds or mattresses." *sigh*
"Then I guess he will have to sleep on the ground."
"Have fun." He retired to his room. Then Maria suddenly came up to me.
"What?"
"Please come to my room," she pleaded.
"No."
"But I have a special treat for you."
"No."
"I'll take that as a yes." She forcefully grabbed onto my arm. I ripped my arm out of her grasp. She just giggled.
"Why can't you just drop dead in hell?"
"Is that how a daughter is supposed to treat their mother?"
"Like you're acting like my mother."
"I provided you with love and everything a daughter needs."
"No, you left me to live life alone when I was only 5 and you tormented me whenever I did something wrong."
"Stop making up lies."Ichiru suddenly grabbed me from behind. I mentally tormented him. He let go in pain. I ran into my room and locked the door. Zero stared at me in confusion.
