Joel's POV:
I listened carefully to what Lizzie said. My mind races back to the last thing I remembered to try and make sense of the situation. "Joel, are you okay?" She asked, worry seeping into her blue eyes. "I'm fine, just trying to see if I remember what exactly happened." Then a spark flickered in my mind. "How's the baby?" I asked. She smiled. "Good." A large smile crossed my face but then quickly faded and I groaned in pain. "The doctor said you'll be fine but I reckon you'll be sore for awhile." Her voice once again filled my ears, replacing the smile on my face. "As long as I get to be with you, I'll be fine."

I stood up from the bed, my fingers laced with Lizzie's. "Alright Joel, take it easy for awhile. We don't want you coming back here any time soon." The doctor said with a smile. I nodded and me and Lizzie walked out of the hospital. "Buddy will be happy to see you, I'm sure." Lizzie said, resting her head on my shoulder. I laugh a little. "I guess we will see, won't we?"
