Hailey's P.O.V

Do you ever felt like you we're so happy that you were floating?

Well, I kind of feel like that when I'm around Blake. As cliche as it sounds, he was like my source of happiness without even knowing it.

He can be extremely annoying and playful sometimes but honestly, I can look past that.

Except for right now.

He was sitting beside me in class and was constantly poking at my shoulder and nudging me to get my attention which by the way, I was so unwilling to give because this was my favourite class and I would die if I miss it.

"Hailey..." He whined as he poked my shoulder again.

"What?" I whispered-yelled at him and he smirked.

"Ah. Now you finally talk. For a minute I thought you were mute and deaf." I rolled my eyes at his comment and ignored him again.

"Now that's just mean." He mumbled to himself and I fought the urge to smile.

"Please remember to get your homework done by tomorrow. I'll not accept any work that is late and this would be counted in your exams." Mrs Courtney said strictly and I slightly nodded my head when her eyes landed on me.

Then I realized I wasn't the one she was looking at but she was looking at Blake.

"Do I make myself clear Mr Miller?" Blake rolled his eyes and nodded his head only because I smacked the back of his head and gave him a look that said: "Be Nice."

"Yes Mrs Courtney." I smiled at him, satisfied with his answer because normally, he would call her by her first name and was rude to her.

When Mrs Courtney exited the room I heard her mutter an 'unbelievable' under her breath then I turned to Blake.

"That was nice of you to do." I smiled at him and he grunted.

"Come on Blake, smile." I pinched his cheeks and he actually smiled.

"The things I do for you Jones." He mumbled and ruffled my hair before grabbing my hand, leading me out of class.

We've been like this ever since that day we kissed and I'm not complaining but he can get extremely clingy.

It's like he couldn't leave me alone which was really annoying like come on, I can walk on my own and I can even carry my own bag. He didn't have to go to such an extent.

I rolled my eyes as I looked at the idiot smiling while carrying my bag with his hand intertwined with mine.

"Blake... I can carry my own bag you know." I rolled my eyes at him when he gave me his signature smirk.

"Yes I know. But I want to help a special girl to carry her bag." He shrugged as if it wasn't anything.

"And who would that be?" I smirked knowing it was me.

"Of course it's-" He gave me a side glance and smiled at me.

"You." I grinned at him and he placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Ha. I knew it!" He chuckled and continued walking.

When we were about to walk into the cafeteria, his phone rang.

He took it out and a frown took over his expression.

"What?" He spat as if the person on the other line just offended him.

As I stared at him facial features that were morphing into anger, his knuckles were also turning white from how hard he was gripping my bag.

I rubbed his shoulder soothingly as I tried to calm him down and he closed his eyes in peace then his tone softened as he gave me a small smile.
