Part 4

Max's P.O.V

I was running as fast as I could. I couldn't let this man take my sister. He wasn't our real father, he was an imposter.

'Nikki! Where are you?!'

There was no reply. She always answered my telepathic messages. Something was wrong. I started to run faster.

I came up into the clearing. I looked around quickly to see Nikki sitting on the ground cross legged. I started towards her.

'I wouldn't do that if I were you. She's been ordered to kill anyone who comes within five feet of her."

"Who are you?"

The man came out of a dark spot. This was the man that claimed he was our father. Ha! This man didn't even remotely look like my father.

"I'm your father son. Don't you remember me? I know you have that spectacular mind that can remember anything that it wants to."

"Then you should know that I know you aren't our father. You should also know that you need to let my sister go before I kill you myself." My face was scrunched up into a snarl. I was going to get my sister back one way or another.

"You really think you could take me down while I have control over Nikki."

She screamed out in pain at the sound of her name. She started to whimper. I had never heard her in so much pain before in my life.

"Just let her go! This has nothing to do with her and you know it."

He clamped a hand down on her shoulder and I saw her wince. He had put something into her shoulder. It wasn't long till I could see her shaking.

"Son why do you think I'm here?"

"I don't know 'Dad' why don't you tell me after you let her go so I can get her to safety."

"She's perfectly safe how she is. I just injected some very nice new 'powers' into her body."

Nikki laid back on the ground. Her body had started convulsing. I had to get to her.

"Fine what is it you want."

"I want you to come with me. Both of you if possible, but if you choose not to come I will simply just take..."

"Don't you dare say her name!" I interrupted him before he could say her name. "

The man smiled. "As you wish. So shall you be joining us?"

I looked down. 'Don't do it Max. Please'

'Nikki?'

'Max don't do it. He's just going to inject you with this stuff to. Please just get away from him.'

'I'm not leaving you here with him.' I saw her wince. It must've been hard keeping the mind link going. 'I'm getting you out of here.'

"So son what will it be? Will you come with us or not?"

"No, I promised I wouldn't to her."

"Such a shame. Nikki kill him."

I saw her stand and that was it, she had lost all control over her body. She came at me.
