Chapter 45: Vote for me as SCHOOL PRESIDENT

“Kat P.O.V”: Hey it’s your girl Kat. Right now, i’m getting ready for school and waiting for Dom. Why? He’s my ride to school since he’s my boyfriend. As i fixed my outfit (outfit down below) i was looking at my lipstick trying to figure out if i should wear red or black lipstick. I then decided on black.

Just then as soon as i finished my eye liner my phone began flashing and i just took a deep breath. Why? It’s either my bestfriend or Dom. I flipped my phone over and it was my bestfriend. I smiled and opened her text.

Me: What?
Aira BFF: Guess who just asked me to spring formal
Me: Who?
Aira BFF: Remember the guy in our english class.
Me: Uhm which one?
Aira BFF: The junior.
Me: Yeah.
Aira BFF: He asked me.
Me: OMG, we’ll talk when i get to school kk.

    I couldn’t do shit but smile because Aira has been trying to get noticed by him all year. Why? She has a huge crush on him. To be honest i have to sit here and act like i don’t know why he asked her when in reality i do. How? I told him that she likes him and he chuckled saying that he liked her to so i told him he should ask her to spring formal, and walah he did. I grabbed my bag, phone, and headed out my room towards my kitchen. Why? I’m hungry omg. I got to the kitchen and seen my mom crying. I sat my hand on her shoulder and she looked at me with bloodshot red eyes.

Kat: Mama you okay?
Kat Mom: I’m okay baby. Get something to eat and go straight to school.
Kat: Yes ma’am.

    I grabbed a bag of chips, a water, the sub that mama made for me, and an orange. My phone flashed and it was a message from Dom saying that he was here. I headed out the front door and i locked it. Soon as i got in the car, i kissed Dom.

Dom: Goodmorning sunshine.
Kat: Goodmorning. *frowns*
Dom: What’s wrong? *puts car in reverse and backs out of driveway*
Kat: Mama was crying.
Dom: *puts car in drive and begins driving to school* Why?
Kat: I don’t know, but when she gets like this she doesn’t like to speak.
Dom: Well Kat don’t stress about it. Your mom is strong.
Kat: I know.
Dom: You going to spring formal?
Kat: Nope, you’re not allowed to come.
Dom: So, go just to have fun. Go with Aira.
Kat: I can’t.
Dom: You and theses i can’t.
Kat: This time it’s true. Aira has a date.
Dom: *hits brakes* With who?
Kat: Promise you won’t scare him away from her.
Dom: Kat stop playing, you know Aira like my little sister since we together. *continues driving*
Kat: She’s going with Eddie.
Dom: Eddie? Eddie the track star?
Kat: How’d you know?
Dom: He’s the only Eddie i know.
Kat: Ughh she’s going to kill me for telling you.
Dom: So.

    We pulled up into the school parking lot and i damn near just wanted to hide. As soon as, Aira find out that i told Dom she’s going to kill me. I got out the car and hurried towards school steps. Just then i ran into Aira.

Aira: BESTFRIEND.
Kat: Heyyyyy.
Aira: What did you do?
Kat: What?
Aira: I can see it all over your face. What did you do?

    Eddie walked by and all i heard was Dom call his name. (picture of Eddie down below)

I just hung my head low and Aira punched my arm.

Aira: I can’t believe you told him.
Kat: I’m…
Aira: No you’re not. Every since you guys begin dating you’ve been, you know what bye.
Kat: Aira Lea Ramirez Gonzalez.

    Aira kept walking away and i just walked towards Dom. Why? I was now frustrated. When i got to where he was i slapped him with pure rage in my eyes and walked away. I heard him call after me but i continued walking and began hanging flyer up through the halls while i listen to music. Right now, the song, “Won’t Turn It Down by Jacquees”, ooo he is bae and he gives me life. As i’m walking down the halls i began singing and then i felt arms wrap around me. I turned around and faced Dom. I then pulled my earbuds out and chuckled to myself.

Dom: What’s so funny?
Kat: Let me be as of right now. You literally just fucked up me and Aira’s friendship. I can’t believe you right now.
Dom: Calm down man, she probably just mad. She’ll be talking back to you by lunch time. Stop trippin’ ma.
Kat: No nigga. You don’t understand. You know what…

    I walked away from Dom mad ass hell and just put my earbuds back in my ears.
