Lana's POV
I checked the time on my phone. 11:23. Gosh.. How long was I over there for? "Hold up.... My car!" I thought out loud. It's at the mall! I ran as fast as I could to the mall, as it was not that far from here. When I reached the mall, I didn't see my car anywhere. Great! I start to walk home when I heard something in a bush nearby. "Hello?" I whispered/yelled. I walk closer to the bush. "Hello?" I said again. I saw a shoe sticking out of the bush.

"Nathan?" I said moving the bush to see a face that was not Nathan.
I backed up and started running home. I heard footsteps running after me. I picked up my pace but I didn't stay like this for long. I tripped and face planted onto the hard pavement. I felt a pair of hands on my body. He flipped me over and put a hand across my mouth and one on my waist. I was squirming around, trying to get out of his grip. He slapped me, causing me to stop moving. "Listen here missy! Your not gonna make a peep or I'll shoot you." He said as a loud noise came towards us. It was a white van. Once I realized what was about to happen, I bit the guys hand. He held his bleeding hand in his other hand and I kicked him in the no-no zone. I took off running as fast as I could. I finally made it to my house and ran inside, locking the door behind me. I laid against the door, breathing heavily. "Lana?" I heard a voice say from in front of me. I looked in the direction of the voice and saw the best man alive. "Dad" I said out of breath. He held his arms open and I ran into his arms. "I thought you died. You scared me half to death." He said rubbing my back. "I'm okay. I'm here now and that's all that matters." I said parting the hug. He gave me a sad smiled and I smiled back. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water. I looked out the window into the woods, which gave me an idea. "Hey Dad. We should go camping." I said my gaze still outside. "NO!" He respond/yelled almost immediately. "Why?" I asked confused. "Because." He said sitting at the dinning room table. "Why Dad? Why can't we go camping?" I asked setting my glass on the counter. "I have a bad history with camping" he said looking down. "Bad history?" I said questioning what he said. "What happened?" I finished. He didn't say anything."Dad.. What happened?" I said raising my voice. He took a deep breath and let it go. "Me and your mom went camping and she was attacked by a mountain lion and I-i didn't try to save h-her" he chocked out, little tears falling down his cheeks. "Dad. I didn't know. I'm sorry I bought it up." I said embracing him in a hug. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you." He chocked out. "I love you Lana." He said kissing my forehead. "I love you too Dad" I responded. "I'm going to bed" he said getting up and walking towards the stairs. "Okay. Night dad." I said grabbing my glass off the counter, washing it and putting it away. I decided to do the rest of the dishes. After I finish that, I go upstairs and went to bed.
