Chapter 11

Amelia's POV

I descended down the stairs like how my mum would do sometimes at her parties. One hand on the railing and eyes looking forward, one step at a time. I raised my head with confidence and headed towards what tonight has planned for me.

I reached the end of the spiral staircase with my head up and greeted the family. There was a man who looked in his fifties and a beautiful woman in her late thirties, a girl probably same age or slightly younger, and a tall figure at the back wearing a suit and looks quite attractive I might say.

"Hello. Nice to meet you. My name is Ameia-Klaus?" I was stopped halfway through my greeting when the tall hottie at the back showed his face. I stared at him in confusion and shock. What was he doing here? I thought.

"You guys know each other?" My brother asked. I snapped out of my current state and looked around me before answering my brother's question.

"Ya...we were paired up for a project in class and well ya,"I answered,"What are you doing here Klaus?" I directed the question towards him now.

"I'm your new neighbour?" He answered unsure, like a question. I decided to just brush off the current awkwardness and properly announce myself.

"Sorry about that. Welcome. I'm Amelia Winters." I greeted.I smiled yo release the slight tension in the air.

"Oh yes. It's a pleasure to be here and it was so sweet of your mother to invite us. I'm Nadia Mikealson and this is my husband Peter Mikealson, this is my daughter Sarah Mikealson and you already know him, Niklaus Mikealson." Nadia introduced. I smiled and started falling my brother to the dining room.

"Shall we?" My dad asked. I sat down next to my brother and unfortunately Klaus was seated next to me as well. Well this is going to be an interesting dinner.....I guess?

Niklaus' POV

I was seated next to Amelia during dinner just now. I would be lying if I said there wasn't an awkward silence between us. I talked to my sister throughout most of the dinner and Lia talked to her brother, Axel, was it?

We were now in the Winter's huge living room while the parents were talking and us teens just sitting around doing nothing.

"Oh I am so sorry! Why don't you sweethearts go upstairs and do something? Huh? Am and Ax, entertain them, they look so bored." Asked Lia's mum.

The Winter siblings got up and motioned for me and my sister to come with them. They headed towards the long spiral staircase and started to go up.

Well....this is going to be fun, isn't it?
