First Date

Is it cool if I hold your hand?
Is it wrong if I think it's lame to dance?

Toby smiled brightly at Ben. His braces glittered in the little bit of light at the dance. How he hated those braces. Ben loved them. They were as adorable as he could imagine. He couldn't think of anyone more perfect than Toby

Do you like my stupid hair?
Would you guess that I didn't know what to wear?

Toby looked into the bright pools of Bens blue eyes. They contrasted perfectly with his hair. This couldn't be a better night. He tried to flatten the puff balls of Brown on his hair and clean his glasses. He was a big need looking dork. But he couldn't help but smile no matter how self-aware he got. He had Ben to himself. Well sort of. It was a school dance but he didn't care.

I'm just scared of what you think
You make me nervous so I really can't eat

Ben looked at Toby big Brown for eyes and giggled. He always had a childish look about him. He was so wonderous and hyper. It amazed him. He grabbed his hand and lead him to the dance floor. Toby looked down and blushed, realizing they were being stared at.

"Ben, they're staring!"

"Its your beauty my darling. Dance with me."

The music was playing, blasting loud. Toby took his hand and wiggled a little, but soon caught the rythm of the beat and took flight. He laughed and giggled and spun around, never letting his eyes leave Ben. This moment could end any second and he wanted all of it on his head forever.

The music slowed and Toby have Ben a pulpy dog look and his eyes went straight to the ground. Ben grabbed him placing his arms around him slowly, swaying. He noticably tensed. His loosened a little and returned the touch. He swayed in the blue and red lights, crimson red coating his face.

I'm jealous of everybody in the room

Toby pulled back a little only to kiss Ben a little on the cheek. He blushed and then let go of him, wanting to turn and run away for being so stupid. Ben grabbed his wrist and pushed his lips against Toby's. It was slow and hypnotizing. Messmurising with every move as their tongues collided and crashed against one another.

"FAG" someone yelled from a corner of the room. Neither of the stopped the kiss but Toby was defiantly hurt. Ben could feel the tears slipping from his eyes as they stood there. Ben finally pulled back and cupped his face.

"Don't listen, beautiful. They won't hurt you anymore."

Ben turned and marched right to the guy.

"You won't hurt him like that. I'm never gonna let anyone hurt my baby like that!" He punched him right in the nose. Toby never forgot that. How he stood up for that dorky teenage boy. How someone so beautiful could bare to do that for him, the kid with eyes the size of Jupiter and big dorky glasses that made them even bigger. The kid with the big bulky braces that was too scared to talk and cried too easily. He stood up for him. (Refer to Damn Homophobes. He never did forget Ben would protect him.)

I dread the thought of our very first kiss
A target that I'm probably gonna miss

The guy was shocked and didn't fight back. Ben marched his way back to his lover and planted a kiss on his forehead (That he could barely reach, seeing as Toby is 6'4") and grabbed his hand.

"Run away with me."

He nodded and smiled. They ran out the door. They ran and never looked back. All that was there was now gone, and they were forever lost in the light of young love.
