chapter one

Jasmine's POV

   I woke up very early. I reached under my bed and grabbed my laptop. I put in my earbuds and put in my password. I had at least two hours before the others would get up so I decided to use it wisely. Most of the time, I watched YouTube. When everyone else got up, I shut my laptop and went downstairs. I quickly ate breakfast and headed back upstairs. Before I got there, I was pushed to the ground. "People are coming later and guess who's isn't going to be getting a new family. Y-O-U!" Katie said.* I rolled my eyes and got up off the floor. "Do me a favor Jasmine. Go disappear." Katie said. I brushed past her to get up the stairs. "Gross! She touched me!" Katie screamed. I went to my room and shut the door. I got on Ihascupquake's channel and found a new video. Just then the door flew open. "You apologize to Katie. Now." The owner said. "She told me to disappear and I just brushed past her to come upstairs." I said. "You are such a liar Jasmine." The owner said. "I'm telling the truth! Katie is a lying little freak!" I yelled. "I do not appreciate your tone, Jasmine!" The owner yelled. "Ihascupquake has a new video on her channel and I'd like to watch it in peace. Without Katie's whining!" I screamed. The owner looked at me. "No meals." She said. "But." I began. The owner held up her hand. "We'll discuss the rest of your punishment later." She said before leaving. I shut the door and put in my earbuds. The title of her video was called surprise! I pressed play. Cupquake's face appeared. "Hey everyone! Red and I are headed somewhere." She moved the camera to Red, who was driving. "We'll update you afterwards but there may be someone else joining us." He said. "Bye!" They said. I shut the video off and sat on my bed. "Someone joining them?" I asked. 

  I was still puzzling over it when the adoption bell rang. I sighed. Now I have to deal with even more humiliation from Katie.
