Red's POV
"Your wife and a little girl are in the hospital. They were in a car crash." The voice on the other line said. Then he hung up. Tiff? In the hospital? I grabbed the keys and left. When I got to the hospital, I ran inside. "Tiffany and Jasmine." I said. "You're red?" The nurse asked. "Yes." I said. "Well two cars crashed into her car. Both of them experienced head trauma." She said. "Can I see them?" I asked. "Sure." She said. She led me down the hall into a room. Both tiff and Jasmine were awake. I hugged tiff. "I heard what happened." I said. "It was scary, red. It happened so fast." Tiff said. "It'll be okay babe." I said. "I hope so." She said. "You guys okay?" A voice asked. Jasmine sat up. Lizzie walked in. "Hey Lizzie." I said. I noticed a little girl around Jasmine's age. "Who's this?" I asked. "Oh. This is Elsie." Joel said. "Elsie, why don't you talk to Jasmine?" Lizzie asked. "Okay." Elsie said.
Jasmine's POV
I was in the hospital after a car crash. Elsie came over to my bed. "I heard what happened. That must have been very scary." She said. "It was." I said. "How old are you?" I asked. "I'm seven." Elsie said. "Me too." I said. We spent most of the next few hours just talking.
The next day
Cupquake's POV
I woke up in the hospital. Jasmine was next to me, asleep. Every time I look at her, I feel guilty. Not about adopting her. I mean about the car crash. I put both me and my daughter in the hospital. Red is in the chair, asleep. He started stirring. Soon, he was awake. "Babe, you okay?" Red asked. "I just feel guilty." I said. "Babe, it wasn't your fault." Red said. "I know." I said.
Red's POV
Tiff thinks that the accident was her fault? I was the one who suggested that they go shopping. I brush the feeling off and tell Tiff not to let Jasmine know. The doctor came in. "Well nothing else happened overnight. So you can leave." The doctor said. "Yay!" Jasmine said.
Three hours later
Cupquake's POV
We got home from the hospital. Red opened my door for me. I unbuckled and got out. I opened the door for jasmine. We went inside. "Wanna see your room?" I asked. "Sure." Jasmine said. Red and I led her upstairs. When we opened the door to her room, her eyes widened. "Awesome." She said. Her stuff was already in there. She gave me a big hug. "I love it!" She said. "Thanks." Red said. "We'll call you for lunch." I said. "Okay." Jasmine said. Red and I went downstairs. "She's pretty quiet." I said. "I know." Red said. "Things will get better." Red said. I sighed. "I hope so, red."
