chapter eight

Sorryfor the time skip but let's just say that it's been three weeks in the story
Two days before minecon
~Jasmine~
  I woke very early in my room. When I realized the date, I jumped out of bed. We were leaving for minecon which was in London!* I quickly showered and put on an outfit that I had laid out.** When I was done getting dressed, I grabbed my suitcase off the floor and headed downstairs. Mom and dad were talking. "You moving or something?" Dad asked. "No." I said laughing. Mom playfully hit him. "We're going to minecon, red." She said. "I'm joking. I knew we were leaving today." Dad said. "Are Joel and Lizzie coming?" I asked. "Yeah. And so is Elsie." Mom said. I checked my YouTube account and screamed. "Two thousand subscribers?!" I yelled. "They really like you." Mom said. I read the comments on my latest video.

I replied to them. When I put my phone away, mom gave me a hug and handed me a box. Inside was a camera. "Now you can vlog your own adventures with us." She said. I hugged her. "Are we going to get going?" Dad asked. We laughed and left.
When we got to the airport, I turned on the camera. "Hey everyone it's jazzycake. And we are going to minecon. We arrived at the airport and are waiting for our flight. I've decided to take you guys along with us." I said. Soon our flight was called. I turned off the camera. When we got off the plane, I started vlogging again. We got to the hotel room. I stopped vlogging.
The next day was the first day of minecon. When we arrived at the place, I turned my camera on. After awhile, someone asked me for my autograph. I gave it to him. I expected him to run off but he stayed. "What's your actual name?" He asked. "It's Jasmine." I said. "My name's Marcos. I've seen you around before." He said. "You live in LA?" I asked. "I just moved there before you got adopted. I just didn't want to draw attention to myself so I didn't talk to you." He said. I had shut my camera off. "I wasn't doing YouTube then." I said. "I know that. But when you did, I subscribed right away." He said. I looked confused. "You remember the hate comment on the first video?" He asked. "Yeah." I said. "I was the first person who told him off." Marcos said.
After talking to him for a few minutes, someone came up and started talking with mom. When we got back, I realized that I had forgotten about the vlog. But I didn't care.
Deep down inside, I felt a spark. And the spark was love.
