I stared at the necklace halves and then up at Kendra. My sister. "I can't believe you're here." I said. "The owner never mentioned that you had a sister. Let alone a twin." Mom said. "I was staying with our parents' friends. They recently died and I was in a different girls home. I was adopted but they're gone aka dead and the people who run the girls home are coming in a few days. I'm here with my friend." Kendra said. "You've been through a lot worse." Mom said. She texted dad. After awhile, he texted back. "Okay. My husband is willing to let me adopt you." She said. Kendra stared at mom. "You got adopted by ihascupquake?" She squealed. "Yep." I said. "That means..I GOT ADOPTED BY IHASCUPQUAKE?" She screamed. "Will you turn it down?" Someone asked. We both giggled. "Sorry." I said. Just then I noticed that we were close to the ear piercing place. I ran ahead and mom and Kendra caught up with me. We went in and soon I got my ears pierced.
As we were leaving, I noticed a few stores. One was a craft store. I went in and bought a few things. I counted my money. $745 left. I was having so much fun. Turning eight is awesome. Mom saw someone. It was Lizzie, Anna and Elsie. I introduced Kendra to them. Mom let us explore but we had to meet up with her in an hour. It turns out, they also had money on them. I went inside a jewelry store to find something for Kendra. I looked around and saw a necklace that had the words twin and sister. It was only eleven dollars. I bought it and five bracelets. Kendra and I's bracelets were special though. I asked the person if she can put the necklace and one of the bracelets in a box. I showed her which bracelet. She nodded and I paid for the items. After an hour, we met up with mom. Lizzie was there. I pulled Elsie aside and gave her a bracelet. I did the same with the others. I was going to give Kendra her things at home.
When we got home, Kendra was happy. Dad came out and told mom to come inside. She did and soon she called Kendra and I inside. We did and I noticed that the lights were off. Soon they turned on.
