"so do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all."

Walter and Arthur clinked glasses before sipping the million dollar champagne.
A foul taste was felt on both of their tongues, making Arthur spit it out and scrunch up his face. "Is it supposed to taste like that?" Walter asked, giving his father a look of repugnance. He had never tasted a bottle of champagne this disgusting.
Arthur wiped his hand across his mouth to get rid of the extra liquid running down his chin. "No it is not."
Walter slightly sniffed the golden liquid and shuddered, placing the glass back onto the table.
Grabbing the bottle, Arthur decided to inspect it further. What he didn't notice before was the corner of the label being bent in, like it was torn off before.
Arthur picked at it until he fully pulled off the label on the champagne bottle. Underneath was the Fool playing card stuck onto the side of the glass. It grinned up at him with a mischievous smirk and struck a pose as if it was dancing around in mockery towards the two.
Arthur showed Walter the bottle, in which he took to examine it. All of the bubbles in the champagne rose up to the surface and disappeared, taking the elegant golden color with them. What was left was a murky liquid sitting at the bottom of the bottle.
Slowly, the engine to the plane powered down. The lights that once illuminated the private jet completely shut off, leaving the two of them in darkness. "What the hell is going on?" Walter looked over at his father.
A knock on the window grasped the attention of the two and they snapped their heads to the left side of the plane. There, they stared at the small opening until a head popped into view.
Merritt grinned at the two, giving them a small salute. Walter's eyes bulged out of his head in shock. Each of the horsemen climbed onto the outside of the plane and pretended that they were floating in midair, mocking the two people inside.
"How are they doing that?" Walter's eyes remained fixated on the magicians that are seemingly floating next to the plane. Arthur's throat was dry and he couldn't utter out a word.
"Come on!" Dylan knocked on the window, motioning for the two to come outside. Merritt did the same. "Come on out." Jack gave them a wave as Maeve popped up beside him and smiled.
In the background, the sound of people cheering became more noticeable. Panic welled up inside of Walter and he shot up from his seat to get out of the plane. The black blankets draped around the private jet fell down and the walls to the box slapped against the water, revealing all of London staring back at them.
