I found it quite difficult to write this chapter because of how Maeve was supposed to distract everyone by singing, but it's hard to write people singing.

The song was originally supposed to be Brand New Moves by Hey Violet, but I changed it last minute bc I thought Dangerous Woman would sound better.

Lastly, was the ending of the last chapter too much? I had this thought about Maeve and Jack being 'written in the stars' (I was watching Secret Circle earlier so lol).

Let me know what you think and enjoy the chapter! The things I do for you guys.

"WHERE IS MAEVE?" JACK asked as the rest of the horsemen walked into the hotel's casino building.

Everyone dispersed and pretended to do their own thing as they all waited for Maeve to walk in through the entrance.

"Chase was taking forever to get into the car." Danny mumbled, rolling his eyes when Maeve continued to complain through his earpiece. "She'll be here in a few seconds."

He adjusted the collar to his blazer and fumbled with the top three buttons on his grey dress shirt, debating whether or not to leave them unbuttoned.

Lula continued blowing a piece of hair out of her face as she cuddled into her rather large fur coat. She wore a black dress underneath with cutouts on the sides and black heels. Her brown hair was pinned back with the decoy stick to make it less conspicuous.

Merritt adjusted his lucky fedora perched onto the top of his head as he waited with everyone else. He also had on a black blazer and dress shirt with matching pants.

Jack leaned against the side of the building in his tuxedo, nimbly moving around a card in his hand.

Finally, a limo pulled up in front of the casino with Chase in the passenger seat. He gave everyone a small wave before rolling his window back up.

The limo driver opened his car door and walked all the way around to open the door for Maeve. "This is so fancy." Maeve exclaimed through the horsemen's ear piece. "I've even had a few glasses of champagne, like good god."

"Lucky." Lula pouted while chewing a piece of gum in her mouth. "I want champagne."

"Yeah yeah." Danny spoke back. "Don't get ahead of yourself." Maeve rolled her eyes from where she was in the limo. "Buzzkill." She mumbled while reaching for her clutch.

"I heard that."

"You were supposed to, Danny. That's the whole point of talking under your breath."

Danny crossed his arms and grumbled in annoyance as he watched the driver open the door. Another man in an all black tux waited beside the door.

When the door opened, Maeve stepped out and grabbed the man's outstretched hand as he helped her out of the car.

Her dress was an all black two piece, showing a bit of her stomach. The top was a thick strap V neck with triangle cutouts on each side. The skirt came up to her mid thigh, hugging her curves perfectly.
