In Euleric, Alaire was now king. He was much more favoured among the people, with his attempts to restore happiness to the people and make the kingdom lively. The people still lived in fear, because, afterall he had Uldric's blood in him. Alaire tried his best to gain trust reguardless. He often visited the slums of Eulineas and helped out random citizens. This lead to a very happy event in his life. He found his queen.

It was a normal day in the city, he was strolling through the slums on his carriage, throwing out gold coins to whoever was an audience. He was smiling and trying his best to make people happy. He was waving and the people waved back. While he was doing so, he noticed a young girl, about 15 with big black eyes and long blonde hair. For some reason, he decided to stop and get out at her. She didn't look at him. He went up and turned her around and smiled. She stared back, in a bit of a daze. They locked eyes for a few moments before the girl looked away, blushing. He smiled and asked her if she had any family around there, which she shook her head no. He lead her into the carriage, following closely, and had them have a ride around the city. She was quiet, which he stayed paid. He asked her what her name was and if she was native to Eulineas, which she replied that her name was Dolly and she was from Bridgeport, a destroyed city in Salencia that faced the sea. He immediatly felt shame, recognizing what his father did. She noticed and consoled him gently.

Finally, the carriage wet back to the castle. Dolly thanked him for the day and was about to leave when he grabbed her hand. She looked at him. He explained that he wanted her to stay the night in a guest room. She agreed. He helped her get a room and fed her. He held small conversations with her. When it turned late, he went into his own room and left her to her own devices.

In the morning, Alaire went to see her, but she wasn't in her room. Guards informed him that she thanked him and went home. Alaire told the guards that he was going out, but not to arrange a carriage or servants to follow. Alaire then went and dressed down, in peasant clothes, let his longer red-ish hair down and messed it up. He made sure he was unrecognizable to the public. Then, he went out and to the street where he met Dolly. He wasn't even looked at twice there. He looked around. He asked people about her but they just shrugged or ignored him. He ended up going through the old buildings seemed unfit for life (he made a note to change these parts). He found her in an old rundown building. She was staring out a window that overlooked the metropolis known as Eulineas. He went up behind her and grabbed her shoulder. She swiftly kicked him down and backed away. Her eyes were wide and she was trembling. He got up and held his injured arm, this is the first time since he was a child that he was physically hurt, and the first time that someone else inflicted pain upon him. She went over to him and rolled up his sleeves and bandaged

up the bruise she caused. They locked eyes like when they met and blushed. She let out a smile and said "King Alaire, Do you not believe that I can't recognize you?"

He stared at her. She just smiled. He shook his head.

"I needed to see you again. You're beautiful."

"A peasant like myself? Do you just value my body or my mind?"

"Both. I want you to become the Queen Of Euleric."

"...You are quite starry eyed and confused, my king. Plus, how can yoy say you want that when we've barely talked?"

He looked away. All the stories of love at first sight and saving princesses he heard from the castle servants had been useless now. He grabbed her hands and said "Live at my palace, if in a month yoy do not wish to marry me, then you shall not, but! You are free to enjoy the services there nontheless."

Of course, Dolly was not a fool. She accepted his offer and went off with him. As expected in a month's time, they fell madly and love and were wed. Alas, they did not live happily ever after. There was trouble on paradise right on the wedding night.

Everything seemed perfect. Dolly was paitently waiting on the bed for Alaire in her most luxurious night clothes. She was in a lovestruck daze and could not think of a single thing besides him. She waited... and waited. She started getting annoyed after 30 minutes when he only said he was going to grab a drink. As the story goes, she opened the door and found her newlywed groom lying on the floor, blood seeping into his satin clothes and dripping down from his head. Dolly gasped and walked back, into someone else. Of course, the story has many variations. Some say it was a normal man, others suggest a holy figure, like an angel or god, then some say it was a demon,or even the devil himself. In every variation though, it was a man dressed in strange red garb. The conversation was unclear, but, it was a deal with the devil. In exchange for Alaire to be brought back, she had to give herself up... and she did. The next thing that anyone is fully aware of is, Alaire rewoke in the morning to blood stains and a note. The note stated that Dolly was never coming back to him. Reguardless, he sent his military all over every land to find her, but to no avail. Since then, Alaire ruled solo, waiting for his queen to return to him.
