"You're not going to fight with us?"

Edward stopped, raising a brow at his sisters correct guess. "You've read my mind?"

Alessia smiled softly, her fingers playing with the wooden boards to the floors on their outside porch. She was ready to head out to camp, a backpack slung over her shoulders that carried the lighter fluid and matches that would be necessary in order to eradicate the incoming army. She had been sitting, watching as the sky grew darker for ages just thinking. Her left hand held the ring Drake had given her all those years, it wasn't much,  little gold band that had darkened over the ages. She still remembered how for the longest time he wouldn't tell her how he had gotten rings on such short notice, but then eventually he had confessed to receiving them from both his parents. They were signs of good luck, and despite the fact the Campbell parents were left with nothing they were never more delighted. Alessia twirled the small band around her finger, knowing if she were to die tomorrow she would die with her most treasured objects. And as much as it burned to say it the emerald charm Jacob had gifted her was sharing space with the pink diamond heart Edward had gifted her as well.

Her eyes looked towards his own, briefly flashing to when they both had the same green hue to them. "No brother, I know you. It's okay, I get it. You follow the love of your life, keep her safe I promise I'll finish it."

"Come with us," he asked her. "Please for my sanity?"

"And miss the action?" Alessia cocked her head. "Oh Edward, you know me better then that. No, I will go with our family and hopefully rip Victoria's head off like I did James."

The tone of finality in her voice told him there was no changing the decision, Alessia had and always will sacrifice her life for him just like he would for her. A moment of silence took over him, eyeing his sisters peaceful exterior.

His hand clasped around hers, noting the strong metal based on one of her fingers. He didn't comment on it, just like he didn't comment on the emerald green charm added to the necklace, instead he simply let her be.

"They'll be here by mid morning," Alice recounted to her family. "We can hunt beforehand but someone should wait and stay."

Alessia snapped her head up, she had previously been sitting amongst the meadow where the battle would take place. Her hands kept pushing through the thick snow. How there was snow in the middle of June she had no idea but it contrasted deeply with what would occur soon on the grounds. Her topaz eyes contracted slightly as she spoke. "Go. I can hold down here."

Carlisle met his light haired daughters eyes. "Are you sure? Someone can stay with you?"

She placed her hands behind her back, lifting herself in one quick move before turning and giving her family a reassuring smile. "I'm fine, I've been hunting plenty the last few days so I'll be good. You all should go, get as much strength as possible, besides Alice has reassured us they won't come until later. Until then I'll keep watch."

Her family reluctantly left, Esme gently grasping her chin softly before walking away.

And she was left alone.

She drew in a long breath, letting the warmth flow out from within her and create and evaporating cloud ahead of her. The winds were coming to a slow breeze as the sky grew lighter, exactly like Alice's vision.

She hummed to herself in order to keep from thinking too much and the silence being overbearing.

Soon enough she heard paws her way, a quick thump as they pounced forward with more strength, a trait she knew to be Jacobs'.
