Q. I have a serious case of inferiority complex. Why do people always go for looks and popularity? One never sees beyond the skin. I'm always left behind. Why? Because I am not physically attractive. Its hard being non-existent and invisible. And I have this *no one would ever miss me* feeling...which ultimately lead to suicidal thoughts. What should I do?

A. Inferiority complexes aren't unusual, especially those based on appearances. Unlike males, females tend to get conscious of their own appearances because of society's expectations. We are judged by our looks instead of our intelligence and athletic abilities. It's no wonder females have had a hard time getting ahead in many fields.

Now, there's actually no need to become physically attractive. If you feel inferior about your looks, then all you've got to do is strengthen your other attributes, such as intelligence, instincts, creativity, etc.

And don't say you don't have a strength. If you don't have one, you can build one. Don't focus on your insecurities. Focus on what you can do.

If you're good at your studies and people call you a nerd, ignore them. After all, you're the smart one here. You know better than to start a fight with some thoughtless people. Don't cower. Stand for what you believe, and what you know, that you can excel at.

As for your comment: "no one would ever miss me", that's wrong. What about your family? What about your friends? You don't have friends? Then build relationships. You're not the only one in the world who holds insecurities, we all do. Even I, the one giving advice, have many insecurities that I always worry about. You can become friends with those who have similar problems, and you can help each other by boosting your confidence and have some fun along the way! And if that's not enough, I'm here, ProjectNobody is here for you.

Wattpad is a good place to make friends because you don't know how someone looks like, unless you did a face reveal. You can become friends with those who have similar interests, and bond based on that instead of being judged by your appearances.

All the love,

The ProjectNobodyTeam.
