Q. I cannot feel any emotion towards others. Either they feel pain, happiness, sadness, I can't seem to relate with them and listen only to myself. Days pass and, that's it. I couldn't feel. Sympathy, anger, sadness, I lost the only emotions I held. I am what you can call "empty". A not-so-good empty. Everyday, I lose appetite and lose interest in living to the point I don't recognize myself. It might be weird, but I don't recognize myself.

A. First off, I'd like to ask you one question. Are you really, truly sure that you don't have any emotions? Think about it.

I'm just going to act smart for a second. To be emotionless means that all your pathways in your brains that process emotion are all shut down. The only way you could feel completely emotionless is if you have alexithymia. And truth be told, alexithymia creates the inability to recognize emotions, not erase or make them disappear.

If you were truly emotionless, are you saying that you won't jump away if a snake bared its fangs at you? Or if a killer suddenly appeared? Will you not feel fear?

Now, there are ways you can help your problem. First of all, try going on something thrilling, like a roller coaster. It's sometimes extremely hard not to laugh (or cry) when you're on an extremely fast ride.If you don't like that idea, try watching funny TV shows. I'm not so sure what you like, but I enjoy watching the Jimmy Fallon Show (don't judge me), or some funny anime. They all make me laugh, and I'm sure you'll like them too.

Also, hang out with some friends. It doesn't matter if it's internet or real-life friends, you can talk to them about different topics. You probably have some people you enjoy talking to on wattpad, and that would be your first step. Take it slowly, and you might be able to achieve what you really want.

Remember, that if you ever feel lonely or sense no change in your emotions, talk to us, and we'll help you again :) I sincerely hope you feel better.
