You woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. You had slept like a rock last night. The potions you drank during your battles yesterday had taken full effect in your sleep and your wounds had healed, though your body was still sore from the endurance test you had put it through. You quickly got ready for the day and headed down to the kitchen to find some food.

"Good morning!" Yuffie chirped from the table at the middle of the room.

"Morning," you replied with a smile, albeit less enthusiastically. You looked around the room and found that you must have been one of the last people up. The only person you didn't see was Cloud. Everyone else was gathered around the table, eating a smorgasbord of breakfast food. The whole room smelled wonderful and it was making your mouth water. "Did somebody make breakfast?" you asked as you walked past them and into the kitchen.

"Oh," Yuffie started talking with her mouth still full from her last huge bite, "you haven' ha- one of Ci-'s big brea-fass ye-!"

You found Cid in the kitchen, standing in front of the stove and humming to himself. He must have been in an especially good mood today.

"Good morning, Cid," you greeted him as you glanced around at all the food lining the counters. There were plates piled high with bacon, pancakes, French toast, sausage, toast and jam, eggs, oatmeal, and hash browns. "Did you make all of this?" you asked in wonder.

"Sure did, darlin'," he said as he flipped another pancake. "Go ahead and fill up a plate."

"Thanks!" you grinned at all of the delicious options before grabbing a plate and filling it without restraint. When you sat down at the table you had to keep one hand at the stack of food on your plate, careful not to lose anything to the floor. You looked up from your plate to see Leon staring across the table at you with his eyebrows raised.

"What?" You looked around the table and saw that your plate had caught several more pairs of eyes as well. "I'm hungry!" you huffed. You proceeded to hide slightly behind your mountain of food and dig in.

"I'd be hungry, too," you heard Tifa say. You smiled at her defense. "She came up with all of that new magic yesterday and then proceeded to use it without rest. You should be more careful, [Name], or you'll burn yourself out!"

The smile turned into a small frown as you took another bite.

"We're stopping back at Traverse Town," you heard her address everyone now. "We need to restock most of our supplies, refuel, and I think [Name] needs to be introduced to someone."

You poked your head around your stack of flapjacks and eyed Tifa curiously.

"Oh! Can I go with [Name]!?" Yuffie raised her hand to volunteer. You wondered if she knew who Tifa was talking about introducing you to, or if she just wanted to go with you.

"No, you're going to help Cid with supplies," Tifa told her, "As is everyone else."

Yuffie pouted for a moment before apparently deciding it wasn't something worth being upset about and shrugging. Then she dug back into her food.

You decided to do the same. You could talk to Tifa after you were done eating.

Cloud eventually joined everyone at breakfast. You had dug about half of your food mountain up by that time. He quietly grabbed a plate and rolled his eyes at Yuffie's calls of "Sleepyhead!", "Lazy butt!", and other things equally silly and unoffending. When he had filled a plate Cid grabbed a plate for himself and sat down.

"Cid? Why did you make such a big breakfast today?" you asked him as he sat at the table.

"We're making a supply stop," he said simply. When your only reply was a confused look, he continued, "A lot of the food is going to go bad soon, so we try to make it all and what we don't eat we take to the shelters in Traverse Town to help feed all those people that have lost their worlds."
