Ableu's heart was racing faster than you can say 'hi'. He pressed himself against the wall as his sister kept screaming. Then Ableu realized something horrific, he had already heard that exact same scream today, before he cam inside his house.
Ableu waited for her to calm down and his own racing heart to subside to it's regular pace. Then, his sister mustered up the courage to fling the closet door wide open. "AH!" Ableu shrieked, DJ just glared at him and slugged him in the arm...hard. "OW! DJ WHY?!" Ableu laughed while cradling his arm with the other. "BECAUSE! You can't just scare me like that! I was about to make Ken and Barbie kiiiiss!" she whined. Ableu just laughed and with a single shaking hand, he reached for the doll.
His sister caught him reaching for it. "ABLEU!" he froze, "THAT is my dolly." Ableu rolled his eyes and snatched the toy up. "Nope, it's mine lil' sis, I bought it" Ableu snickered. DJ wasn't as amused, "NO! It's in my room, so it's mine!" she exclaimed reaching for the 'dolly'. Ableu dodged her grasp and ran out of her unusual pink room, right into his mom.
Ableu stumbled and loosened his grip on the toy just as DJ came up behind him. "HA! MINE!" she practically leapt behind her mother. "NO! DJ that's my toy! I--" before he could finish his mom spoke up, "ABLEU FREDRICKS! Where have you been? I didn't even hear you come in! And aside from that-" she pried the doll from DJ's small hands, "Why would a 13 year old boy want to keep an old raggedy doll like this?" She asked as she palmed the old doll in her hands.
Ableu sighed and shook his head, "I don't know, found it at this store I've never seen before, and I had enough money to buy it, so I could scare DJ with it, and now she wants to keep it." His mom chuckled and then handed the toy back to DJ.
She smirked at Ableu, for she knew that he couldn't fight his mother. As she skipped by him, he glared at her back and glanced at the doll, for a split second, he saw the doll stare back at him.
His eyes widened, and he pushed past his mom to his room and locked the door.
