Maxine Silver
Chapter 1
2010 August 12:49 pmEver since Liam and I had met, we've clicked.
His family all gathered around for pie that afternoon (spoiler alert, mum's baking pulled through and I almost reached for a second piece) and once he found out I liked music, it only went up from there. After my first week of school, Liam and I would ditch lunch time to hangout. I learnt Liam was the boy who got kicked around which only motivated me to practice Karate even more.
As well as ditching lunch, we both learned boxing together, I'd always wanted to, Karate was something I had learnt for years but Boxing was a whole different story."HURRY UP MR PAYNE!" I exclaim after hearing Liam stomp up the stairs I'd learnt to hate.
'I'm here, I'm here, no need to panic, I'm not dead!' He mocks walking into the room, plopping down onto the couch beside me.
'Finally!' I exclaimed exaggeratedly.
'I have to ask you something,' Liam begins, his eyes looking everywhere but at me.
"Well.. tell me!" I say, waiting 'patiently' for him to speak up.
'Alright woman! do-you-maybe-possibly-wanna-come-to-the-X-Factor-Audition-with-me?" He questions speedily.
'Yes! I would love to come support you! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER?' I scream beginning to bounce in excitement.
'Because you would probably have second thoughts!' he says, almost like he's hinting at something.
'Oh! that's ok- wait why?' I ask, interrupting myself.
'Maybe, just maybe, because... we-have-to-leave-at-four-thirty.' he says at bullet speed again.
"You should really learn to speak at normal-person speed." I state before continuing, "Seriously? Four thirty?""Don't be moody young one. You'll get to see me perform for the second time!" Liam grinned, ignoring my complaints.
Liam's P.O.V
I had planned on re-auditioning for the X Factor for awhile, but I'd never had the guts to. Being voted out of the show really didn't do good for my ego at all, but after I got amazing support from my family and Maxine, I knew I couldn't let them down. Except this time I would be bringing a surprise, for Maxine atleast. I plan on getting her to audition aswell.
Walking down the stairs and into the Silvers kitchen to see Mr & Mrs Silver, AKA Logan and Jane, I give myself one last pep talk before commencing step one of the plan.
'Hi Mr and Mrs Silver do you mind if I enter your daughter into entering the X Factor?' I question, keeping my voice light and casual. Subtle wasn't really my thing.
"Go for it!' Mrs Silver replies, smiling cheekily.
Mr Silver simply nods happily before looking back down at his newspaper. They seemed so unshocked which led to me being shocked. I really loved Mr and Mrs Silver for being so open to pushing their daughter to the best she can be.Maxine's POV
"Shut up shut up shut up." I groaned, finding myself wanting to throw the alarm clock that I still owned since the first night in this house.
It took a few minutes to realize what day it was before I remembered that I needed to get ready now or I'd miss Liam's audition. After some more groaning, I sat up and began getting ready.
Twenty minutes later I was ready to go and quickly scrawled a note to mh parents before walking over to Liam's house.
Knocking without any hesitation, I was pulled in without a word, only catching sight of an excited Payne family grabbing their bags for a short minute.
The next thing I knew we were driving.
Once we arrived and checked into the front desk, Ruth decided the weather was nice and forced me into the ladies bathroom so she could change into her spare clothes.
Gotta love your neighbours.-
Liam P.O.V
I whisper to Ruth about my plan for Max and she agrees, leading a reluctant Max to the bathroom.
'Hello, what's your name,' The lady says (I really don't know how this whole thing goes so bare with me)
'Liam Payne, also I was wondering if I could also check in Maxine Silver?' I question.'Of course just fill this out and wait over there,' She nods, pointing the chairs laid out for all the people auditioning.
Quickly filling in the forms, (one for me and one for Max) I handed the sheet in and grabbed the wristbands with the unique number on just as the girls walked out of the bathroom. [I know this isnt right as they have a paper sticker thing but whatever.]
'Here put this on.' I say shoving the band onto Max's wrist.
'Uh okay?' She says clueless, choosing to glance at her phone for the time being.
As the amount of people dwindled down, I managed to convince Max to warm up with me. She agreed, probably assuming it would help me feel less anxious, and it did.
It was only a few minutes after we stopped warming up that her number was called, she looks around confused as they called her name.
'Liam what's happening?' Max questioned nervously.
'You're singing me my goodluck song!' I grin, biting back my nervousness as her expression changed."I really should've expected this." She mumbled just as she was dragged away by the person who was grabbing people.
"Good luck!" I called out, smiling excitedly.
