Chapter 6

I think the song fits this chapter really well. You can think of "Only fools fall for you" as Zenix saying that to Balto... I think.
Zenix's POV

Baking cookies with Kawaii~Chan went better then expected, half way through the process Vylad came in and started to help. He's actually a really cool guy, for a Ro'Meave that is, actually apparently he's only half a Ro'Meave so maybe that's why, speaking of the Ro'Meaves, Gene said  something about Zane living here. Hopefully he's not the same annoying, bratty, emo (my phone tried to auto correct that to Elmo) kid he was back in highschool, if he is, well have some problems, if not, that could be +1 friend.

By now a few people arrived including Gene's brother Dante's roomates Garroth, Laurance, and Travis. I always liked Dante- no, not in that kind of way, but he was always nice to me and we used to be great friends. It didn't really occur to me how much time had passed, it felt like just yesterday I had witnessed Balto and Gene confront Aaron and Aphmau... (It feels like just a few weeks ago I was still writing Bad Boys Can Be Different... Oh wait, that's cause it was...)

I was surprised at how much  Laurance and Garrth had changed, in highschool everyone wanted to get with them and now, now it's just sad, they haven't dated anyone since then and like always, or at least to me, there's some sexual tension between them... (Huehuehue I just remembered I have to make the Gaurance sequel... SO MUCH WORK) Im probably just imagining it, they're like brothers, not lovers, but still...

Travis was a different story, unlike back in the days of highschool THIS BOY HAD NO INNOCENCE. Honestly he might've been annoying back then.., but now,,,, I don't even know what to think.. He had no shame in doing anything and his failed attempts to flirt was honestly scary, and to think this is what Dante turned him into...

2 hours had passed and basically the whole neighborhood had arrived, Zane actually was a lot different and surprisingly actual good company. Not to long ago Aaron came and at first I was a little scared, he hadn't changed much in terms of looks- except for the lack of cuts and bandaids on his face. Still muscular enough to be on steroids, but his attitude was a lot different.

He wasn't ad threatening and a lot more friendlier, but of course when he saw Gene and I he wasn't to happy. Because of course, Aphmau never told him what happened.

"So Aph who was this party for?" Aaron asked, "Oh, some new neighbors from highschool."

"Really? Who?"

"Us." I said standing up and Gene did the same, "Long time no see." Gene said, I couldn't tell if he was tying to be nice or not.

"What are you doing here, in Aphmaus house that is."

"We moved here and Aphmau offered to throw a welcome party." I responded, "But your not exactly welcomed are you?" Aaron asks, "Aaron, they deserve kindness, let go of highschool days... The really need friends right now..." Aphmau said, she wasn't my favorite person, but I appreciate her trying to help and apologize.

"And why is that?" Aaron questioned, raising a eyebrow, "That's actually something I want to announce..." Aphmau said, I gave Gene a quick glance and he was also looking at me, "Are you sure you want everyone to know?" He asked, I though for a moment before nodding my head slightly, "I think it would be best..." He nods and motions for me to sit back on the couc to listen to Aphmau.

"Umm,'if you haven't already noticed, this is a welcoming party for Gene and Zenix who recently moved into the neighborhood..." Aphmau started from the staircase, to gain everyone's attention, in which she succeeded. "I know we all don't have the best past with them.. But please understand that we were all in highschool... All of us have changed greatly  since then and so have they... Though they weren't always the problem back then..." A few confused murmurs sounds from the room, "So I think I need to tell you all something that I should've told long ago, as of right now only Gene, Zenix, Sasha, Dante, and I know this, Balto to, maybe.." She continued looking at me, I nodded to tell her that he know, the confused whispers continued but stopped when she started speaking again, "Simething happened near the end of freshman year, and to this day it is the thing I regret most..." She went on to tell the story of the day Gene and I broke up and when she was done shocked expressions were seen from around the room, especially from Aaron. When people started glancing at us Gene, to my surprise gripped my hand tightly and leans into me almost as if he was trying to shield us from their prying, shocked eyes. 

"And recent events caused them to move here... But I'm not sure if they want them to be revealed (Self promo here, I have a ff called Revealed)" She looks at us for permission and Gene looks at me for a answer, I slowly nod my head and Aphmau continues speaking, "After Gene and Zenix broke up it is to my understanding that Zenix dated Balto, and they have dated for the last 10 years. Without knowing that Balto is extremely homophobic and not until recently around 9 months ago, Balto um, started to abuse Zenix." Gasps of horror came from the girls and guys just listened sympathetically, "Umm after while around 1 month ago the abuse turned to umm... Sexual abuse, and yesterday Gene and Sasha went to their house and found Zenix and Balto in their basement... While rescuing Sasha got shot by will live and fortunately Balto was arrested." Some people covered there mouth in shock with wide eyes, some people looked at Gene and I with sympathy, shock and sorrow in their eyes, Gene wrapped his arms around me from behind protectively, causing me to pretty much sit in his lap. He rested his chin in my shoulder and nuzzled his head into my neck, (sodnemxkdndkkdddjcjdj FANGIRL EXPLOSION WA POW WA POW) "What about Gene?" I heard Zane ask, everyone looked at him with confused expressions, "What about me?" Gene asks turning his head slightly so it wasn't in between my neck anymore. I shivered slightly from the seperstion and lack of warmth and when he noticed this he quickly returned to where he was, "What we're you doing all these years?" He says skeptically, "Gene you don't have to-" Aphmau started to say but Gene cut her off, "I fell into depression, became a alcoholic, and a underaged bartender to pay for my rent and never went to college." He said smiling, I don't get how he could play it off like it was nothing, he was probably a reck inside, i heard Aaron mumble a small "figures" and I shot him a glare, "Do you still-?" Katelyn asked, trailing off not really finishing her sentence, "Oh god no, that was my lowest point in life and the sight of alcohol makes me gag. It was honestly disgusting." Gene replies in a disgusted tone and I rub his hand comfortably. Katelyn nods, looking a bit relieved, "I hope life in MyStreet is better for you..." Garroth says quietly, and I nod my head.

After a few more solemn moments Travis kills the mood and the party begins...
