I Apologize

*Knock-knock-knock*

This sound pulled me out of bed and when I looked at the clock I realized I had slept through my alarm.

"J, wake up! We over slept!" I shouted making my way to the front door.

As I got closer the feeling of Jasper being near by came to me.

Sure enough, I opened the door and there he stood.

"Jasper? What are you doing here?" I pulled my pink knitted sweater closer around me.

"I came to see if you guys wanted a ride to school."

"Um, yeah that would be great, but uh, how did you know where I live?"

He pointed to his nose. "I, uh, I tracked you the first day I met you."

"Okay then. You can come in. We over slept so we might be a minute." I moved over as he stepped in.

"No problem Ma'am" He purposely over enunciated Ma'am.

"Ooh!" Again I did the playful growl. His lips pulled up into a smirk. "I will get you back for that Cowboy." I tried to sound as menacing as I could.

"Lookin' forward to it." He replied as I ran back up the stairs.

After about ten minutes we all headed out to his car.

"So what do we owe the honor of riding to school with thee Jasper Hale as a girl in my Algebra class put it."

"Just thought I could get to know you more if we spend a bit more time together. Plus I wanted to meet your sister that you've yelled at me about."

Before he started his car Jasper held his hand out for Jared to shake.

"Jasper Hale."

"Jared Conners."

"Oh shoot. We're gonna be late." I stated looking at the time.

"Right, lets get going."

Jasper started the car and drove off.

He began asking me and Jared questions as soon as we left the driveway.

"So where did you guys come from?"

"We've lived literally all over the country" Jared replied.

"We were in Oklahoma before we came here." I added.

"What was your favorite place?"

"Oh, I think that would be New Orleans." I said.

"Yeah, definitely!" Jared's excited voice rang through the car.

"I love the music there. Jazz is just beautiful."

"Whose your favorite jazz artist?"

"I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you. Their all so great."
