I'm sorry this has such a huge time jump (one year from when Joe proposed) but I'm lazy and I've been consumed by school and stuff as of late iM TRYING OKa Y~Andrew

As months led on Joe and Andy had most of their time consumed by their jobs and wedding planning. Though it was stressful, they didn't mind all to much. They had plenty of support from their friends and family to help them along as well.

It was now peaking late November and the sun was almost never out, constantly hazed with snow and fog and the calm feeling of the fall/winter combination bring a warm feeling inside of the two boys. Andy and Joe had decided they're going to wait a bit until December to have the wedding because there's such a nice sentiment behind the month for the both of them. December is a special month.

The boys of course we're more than excited to be-wed one another. They were soul mates, that's the only way to put it. They couldn't imagine themselves with anyone else but each other. Joe always recalls his mothers words when she tells her friends about him and Andy:

"It's like they were born to be together sometimes. I've never seen two people look at each other with that much love."

Joe loved his mom,but she could be over the top sometimes.

Well, okay maybe this time she wasn't exaggerating too much. Because maybe she had a point. Joe looked at Andy with the utmost love and affection because he's the love of his life. That's just how it works. He admired Andy greatly. He saw Andy as his own hero, as cliche as it sounded. He was the kid that always say with him at lunch in middle school, he was the kid who pressed Andy to get more involved into extracurricular activities and helped him make new friends. Andy was one of the biggest influences in Joe's life. He still is.

And he gets to marry that motherfucker.

"Everything good babe? You stopped walking." Andy asked, turning back on the dirt to face Joe with worry showing on his face.

"Oh yeah. Sorry I was just thinking about something and I didn't realize." Joe reconciled to calm Andy down.

Andy nodded with a smile and grabbed Joe's hand, pulling him down the trail. Today they had decided to go exploring in a forest not far from their house. They're glad they had decided to explore because this place was beyond gorgeous.

The trees were stunning and the smell felt nostalgic to Joe. He smiled at the old memories from his childhood, most of them including Andy.

(Flashback)    //    [lmao this is new]

"Come on Joe, hurry up!" A 6 year-old Andy rushed his friend up the hill behind Joe's house.

"I'm coming." Joe retorted, finally getting to the top next to Andy so that they were standing right in front of the opening to the forest trail.

They'd never been on the trail before, they were never allowed too, so they both felt some mild anxiety deep in their tummies.

"We aren't allowed to go in there." Andy gulped.

"I know." Joe responded with little emotion and stepped forward onto the forest trail.

Andy took a quick look behind him before scurrying up to Joe's side and gripping Joe's arm as they walked deeper into the trees and it got darker.

"It's so pretty but I'm so scared." Andy murmured.

Joe looked down at his friend and gave him a small smile. He gripped Andy's hand and pulled him against his side.

"If you get too scared, just squeeze my hand and we'll go back to my house okay?" Joe proposed and Andy nodded shyly.

They continued tiptoeing down the trail, the light from the opening beginning to get smaller every time the boys looked behind them. They tried not to think much of the fear that struck their bodies. The fear of the unknown, the fear that they know they aren't supposed to do this but they do it anyway. It's exhilarating. It's weird. But they both kinda liked the feeling of rebellion.

"We should probably go back." Joe said, not stopping his walk forward.

"Yeah." Andy responded, still gripping Joe's hand and walking further into the trees.

They liked it back here. It was so quiet and vacant. The boys felt like they didn't need to worry about adults or rules or any problem that a 6 year-old can have.

"Andy? You okay? You squeezed my hand." Joe said.

Andy just nodded and turned them around so they could head back to Joe's.

"Hey wait. Can we sit for a minute. My feet hurt." Andy said, pulling Joe over to a fallen tree log and sitting down so that their shoulders were touching.

They silently say there. The only noises heard being the chirps of birds and the crunch of leaves from the wind.

   "Hey Joe?"

   "Yeah?"

Andy looked over at Joe and studied his eyes for a moment.

"Have you ever heard of kissing?" Andy asked.

"Yeah. My mommy does it to my daddy all the time. I think it's a way to thank someone." Joe said and beamed.

   "Oh. Hey Joe?"

   "Yeah?"

Andy pressed a small kiss to Joe's cheek and pulled away bashfully, his cheeks red and a big grin on his face.

"What was that for?" Joe asked, placing his hand on the area that Andy's lips touched for the first time.

"I wanted to thank you." Andy beamed.

   "What for?"

"For being my bestest friend." Andy laughed, pressing a kiss to the exact same place again.

   "Hey." Joe whined.

Joe pressed a kiss to Andy's forehead and giggled when he pulled away. Andy blushed even more and lied his head on Joe's shoulder.

   "Hey Joe?" Andy said.

  "Yeah?"

   "Thank you."

Joe smiled and kissed the top of Andy's head.

   "You're welcome."

Andy still remembers the exact place on Joe's cheek where he kissed. It was right over a birthmark towards his upper lip. Joe doesn't know this, but whenever Andy kisses his cheek, he always kisses right on that part.

Andy stopped walking for a minute and turned back at Joe, smiling.

"C'mere." Andy giggled, grabbing Joe's arms and pulling him so that their torsos were touching.

Joe closed his eyes and puckered his lips, expecting a kiss on the lips, but let out a small breath when Andy kissed that place on Joe's cheek.

   "Why'd you kiss my cheek?"

"Because I can." Andy smirked, kissing Joe's lips quickly before pulling away and dragging Joe down the trail again.
