Here's a celebratory chapter upload in honor of it being Joe's birthday today (^∇^)~Andrew

Joe walked up to the doorstep and retrieved his hand from his coat pocket, raising it up to the door. Before he could even knock once, the door swung open and a pair of hands gripped his coat and pulled Joe inside.

"Well, good evening to you too." Joe joked and Brendon unlatched his hands from Joe's coat hood.

"Sorry, I'm just excited! I. Love. Proposals. And I never get to see them a lot, other than my own of course." Brendon bounced up and down with each word and Dallon stepped out from the kitchen and slipped a hand around Brendon's waist, pulling him close.

"Don't mind him he just had a lot of coffee. Anyway, so I had a couple of ideas as far as a proposal and I think you might like some and, before I go any further, does Andy like Pokemon by chance?" Dallon started, traipsing over to the dining table with Joe following begin as he tried to register Dallon quick sentences.

"He was obsessed with it when he was younger and it still kinda followed him into his adulthood, why?" Joe chuckled.

"Well I had a thought-" Dallon trailed as he dug threw a compartment of papers, digging out what looked like a small pokèball.

Joe looked up at Dallon quizzically and cocked a brow, only to have Dallon giggle and press the front button. The top flipped up to reveal the inside of the ball with a little sheet of foam on the center to hold...a ring?

"Dallon, this is absolutely perfect." Joe beamed, taking the pokèball from Dallon and observing it closely.

"Really? It was just a late night brainstorm. But feel free to take it and use it. Do you have a ring yet?"

Joe pulled a small velvet box out of his back pocket and opened it to reveal a shiny band of silver with a bright decorative on top. Dallon internally squealed and put his hands over his mouth.

"Wow you're quite a man Joe. Andy is lucky to have you."

"I can hear you!" Brendon exclaimed from the couch in the living room, making Dallon chuckle.

"It's not like that, babe! You know what I mean. I'm sentimental, this stuff makes me happy." Dallon called back and he heard Brendon scoff.

Joe laughed and took the ring out of box, placing it in the ball and closing it. Upon closing it, Joe saw that on the top of the ball in pretty letters it read 'I choose you'.

"This is so good and wholesome." Joe gawked happily.

"Did you read the inside?" Brendon half-yelled from the other side of the house.

Joe tilted his head to the side and opened the ball again to see the writing in the top that read 'always will'.

"It's perfect, my goodness. I hope he likes it." Joe breathed out, his breath becoming slightly shaky from nerves.

"It's great because your guys' dress up party is on Tuesday and he's going to be dress up as Ash, oh my god this is perfect!" Joe said happily and Dallon smiled at the boys excitement.

"He'll love it. Anyway, you look cold, do you want like a hot chocolate or something? Feel free to stay for a bit if you'd like." Dallon offered.

"Yeah sure I guess I'll take a hot chocolate. I'd hate to be a prod though."

"Oh nonsense, you're not a bother at all." Dallon waved, going over to the cupboard and fishing out hot chocolate and mugs.

"Dal, honey, can you make me one too?" Brendon asked loudly.

"Of course." Dallon replied.

Joe seated himself at the table and canvassed the pokèball closely. He had the perfect plan now. And on Halloween night, how romantic. Joe knew how much Andy loved Halloween and he hoped he could give him a reason to love it even more.

"Here you are my man." Dallon said, placing Joe's mug in front of him.

Joe thanked Dallon and he nodded in a friendly manner before taking the other mug in his hand into the living room. Dallon dropped off the hot chocolate to Brendon and kissed him lightly before walking back into the kitchen and perching himself on the kitchen counter next to his own mug.

"How do you think he'll react?" Dallon asked, sipping from his mug and throwing a quizzical look at Joe.

"I honestly have no clue. I mean we've talked about it and he always said that he would love to get married and settled down, but what if he thinks I'm only doing this because he wants to? Or what if he rejects me because I was too sudden?" Joe ranted and Dallon rolled his eyes.

"Dude, you're overthinking it. I'm sure he'll say yes. I may not know you guys well, but I've seen you two together and it's something special. Hell, me and Brendon don't even have what you guys have." Dallon joked.

"Hey!" Brendon retorted.

"Anyways, all I'm saying is that you're taking this too heavily. There's no reason as to why he wouldn't say yes. You'll do great and it'll be great."

Joe smiled and looked down at the pokèball, downing his hot chocolate and standing up from the table.

"Thank you guys for everything. I don't know what I wouldn't done if I hadn't talked to you guys." Joe praised, hugging Dallon before pulling away and walking to the living room to go hug Brendon goodbye as well.

"We're happy to help, and remember: don't overthink it. Everything will be great." Dallon called and Joe let out a silent thank you and walked over to the front door, grabbing his jacket off of the coat rack and slipping the ring into his pocket.

"See you guys at the party on Tuesday!" Joe called before stepping outside and walking to his car.

He started the car and turned around down the street onto the freeway. He and Andy didn't live too far from Dallon and Brendon -it was only about a 25 minute drive- however it did require driving through the interstate since they lived in the next town over.

Joe didn't mind. He loved driving, especially late at night on freeways.

Joe remembered when he and Andy first got together and Joe could start driving, they used to go on midnight runs together just because they could. Joe smiled at that. He wanted to do that again one night with Andy again.
