Jessica woke to a cold room. She didn't mind it much it was something she had begun to get use to since she had woken up at the Sanctuary 4 days ago. She didn't do much just lay down and Lilian Dia a nice Fae she had met because of Castor would bring food and when she had free time would hang out with her. Besides that it wasn't much. Castor would just pop up if he wasn't healing a hunter every once in awhile but even those visits were rare. So here she was again using shirts that were slightly larger than her normal size and sweats that would fall if not for the string holding them up. The past few days she had been filled with questions. Who was She? Of course she was a Night Hunter apparently but hearing from Lilian each Hunter had a mundane last name and a Hunter name given by their patron goddess. She asked if Moore was one of their mundane names but to Lilian knowledge there's no Hunter with the Mundane last name Moore besides a family in Antarctica. The possibility of their relation seemed to be zero so she was again left where she started. There was also guilt and fear. Fear for Christoph who was clueless to their ancestry and the dangers of the outside world that affected them now. Guilt for having forgotten about him so soon, for being so disoriented for not realizing her only family wasn't with her. It had been an entire day since she remembered and since Lance had sent a hunter to "Retrieve him" the word made Jessica scoff. This though was a good thing and hopefully Christoph would be rescued soon. Still she felt dread pulling at her stomach.
A knock on the door pulled her out of her reverie. Stepping into the room was Lilian. Today she was in a bright yellow dress with golden flowers along with gold flats. Her hair that was a shimmering brown like fresh soil faded into a sunny yellow. From what Jessica remembered her hair changed color based on mood, so she would guess she was happy. She held a tray with pancakes and a thermos. She smiled honey dew eyes sparkling.
"Hey morning," Jessica said as she took the tray from Lilian.
"Good Morning Jessica."
Jessica went and placed the tray on the nightstand beside the bed she had been sleeping in. Turning back Lilian was sitting down on the bed smoothing out her dress.
"So how's your morning been," Jessica asked before sitting besides Lilian. Looking at Lilian now her skin reminded her of ivory or porcelain.
"Quite well, I just had to help bit."
"That's good. Any news of my brother." Lilian have Jessica a sympathetic look before shaking her head.
"Lance will let you know when he gets word. Lance is a good person he wouldn't keep something from you like this if he knew." Jessica simply nodded before glancing away steeling herself.
"Hopefully I'll get news soon."
Jessica heard a knock on the door. Confused she stood up assuming it was going to be Castor but instead of his friendly smile she received a bored looking Lance. Then again he always looked bored to her at least. He was in grey basketball shorts and a black sleeveless shirt.
"Is Christoph alright?" She asked immediately.
"No word on him," he replied simply. She felt an invisible weight suddenly fall onto her shoulders drawing her down. She stood straight acting to remain uneffected.
"What are you doing here then?" Jessica leaned against the right side of the door frame. Lance moved to let a woman through and leaned against the doors frame from her. Suddenly the door frame felt small.
"You have training today. Your a Hunter it's required," He scanned her as if studying her reaction. Jessica pushed all her urges to run and stood her ground.
"And I should go with you why?"
"You're gonna train," He said pushing her inside. Jessica tried to stay rooted to her spot but Lance's strength was way too much making her almost fall from the force.
