Scarlet Spider (Kurapika X Reader)

Chapter 1

This is so boring...

You sit in the shadows of the cold stone room with several hundred others waiting for the hunter exam to begin. You have been here for hours and you are on edge being by yourself. You glance over to your right and feel your heart leap into your throat.

Hisoka...

What is he doing here? If he finds out you are here you are going to be in SO much trouble. You can only hope he hasn't sensed you. You pull your cloak around you tighter.

Out of the corner of your eye you see someone approaching you, you can tell he is trouble just by the look in his eyes. When he stops in front of you, you don't pay any attention but you do casually pull out your sword and flash it he backs away.

Five more minutes pass and NOTHING happens, but there are three new people but only one in particular catches your attention. He has blonde hair and brown eyes, there is a serious air around him. For an odd reason he looks familiar but you can't exactly place it. Oh well. You don't have time to dwell on it so you push the thought aside... or rather you try to.

Finally SOMETHING happens, apparently the examiner has shown up, but when you guys start running you frown. Wasn't the hunter exam supposed to be hard?

After a while of running you notice people are starting to drop out, you continue to run faster even still. You don't even realize you passed the examiner until you look back and see no one is there but you made it out apparently.

You sit against a tree and wait for everyone else, you close your eyes and let your mind wander. You loved being alone it often cleared your mind when you were troubled, but today was different your mind would not clear. The was a nagging suspicion that the boy you saw earlier was someone who once knew you very well. That was ridiculous though... right?

Even so there is that little voice that echoed in your head, "It's possible your memory begins four years ago, you don't know anything for sure."

You started to fall into the millions of possibilities that your life could have been. You notice people are starting to finally arrive, you stand and wait. The examiner of course was first and he kept shooting glances at you, apparently not many must outrun him in the exams.

After brief intermission the running starts again....Fantastic
