Phase three of Hunter exam as it turns out isn't as boring as you'd thought it would be. To start off you had to find a way into the tower, you were one of the last to get in but watching the baffled expressions of the other contestants was priceless.

You decide to stop messing around eventually and get on your way. When you finally fell into the tower you expected to be alone, that however, was not the case.

"It's that guy..."

You stand up and look to see there are four others in the room and of course they are the four that you were trying to avoid. You see that they are all wearing a silver wrist band and notice the fifth one standing on a pedestal. You walk over and snap it on and suddenly a voice comes over the loudspeaker.

"ALL RIGHT! THIS TOWER CONTAINS NUMEROUS PASSAGES EACH ONE CONTAINS ITS OWN PATH. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO PASS IF THE CHOICE COMES FROM ONE GUY ONLY. YOU CAN ONLY MOVE FORWARD FOLLOWING THE MAJORITY'S CHOICE."

Everyone is silent for a moment until you chime in, "Aren't we going to go? Or are we going to stand here until the next 69 hours are all used up?"

Everyone stared at you, "Good point. " The tall dark haired one mutters, was that nervousness in his voice? You smirk but luckily no one can see it under the over sized hood on your cloak.

The first choice on majority rules is one that is so obvious it hurts, 'The door opens for yes press O for no press X.' You press the O button just like everyone else.

The next sign is a choice on whether or not the group goes left or right.
At this sign you decide to go with the majority and choose right, after all the blonde boy put up one hell of an argument that it is likely to be a stronger obstacle by choosing the left.

"It has been proven in some behavior studies that when people are lost and they have to choose between the left and right the often unconsciously choose the left."

Soon you and the group come up to what seems to be some kind of arena but it looked as though it was floating, because surrounding it looked like some kindof an abyss. No one could see the bottom but you didn't need to to know that a fall like that would be deadly.

The white haired boy whose name is Killua points over to the other side of the cavernous room.

"Hey look!"

On the other side you see 5 shadowy figures, two of them are normal size, one of them looks like a woman. The other three are ridiculously large figures and one of them steps onto the arena as the floor to make a narrow walkway.

He removes his cloak and as expected it is a buff criminal looking man, "We are the jurors for the trial commission! Our mission is to fight you! The matches are one against one and one can only fight once! The order of passage is free!"

Everyone looks surprised but you were already 3 steps ahead of him.

"Everything is allowed! There's no limit! The defeat of one means the victory of his opponent!!!" The man pauses for a moment then adds, " You only have to tell if you accept this trial or not! O if you accept, X if you refuse."

This seems to surprise the tall one who you learned is named Leorio.

"What?! We still have to choose!"

"Another waste of time..." You heard the blonde boy sigh, you still have not caught his name yet. It is starting to drive you crazy, of course it's not like you can just ask him.

"If we all want to be qualified we have to go through this! It's obvious we'll all choose O!!!!

You hit O and watch as everyone does the same.

"Who is going first?" Gon, the young dark haired boy asks.

You sigh and step up, everyone looks at you.

"Are you sure about that? This guy looks pretty strong." Leorio asks, instantly angering you.

You shoot him a glare and though you know he can't see it you watch as he takes a few steps back, you can tell you set him on edge.

'Good. " You thought smugly, you walked out to the arena and faced the man. He was definitely much larger when you were up close. That, however, does not intimidate you in the slightest. You have faced much more intimidating figures in the past.

When you stepped onto the arena you were silent.

"I propose a fight to the death!" The man states. "Until the death or desertion of a fighter we'll fight.

You smile grimly, of course no one can see it, "I accept." You reply, and then feeling the weight of your sword at your side add, "Shall I disarm myself before we start or are you so confident in your abilities that it does not matter?"

You see him appear rather taken aback, "I may be an examiner but I am still a prisoner. We are not allowed weapons."

You sigh, "That did not answer my question. Am I allowed a weapon or am I not?"

"No..."

You toss your sword off to the side and take up a fighting stance, you can tell this man will bee no match for you. You wait for him to make the first move, which indeed he does. You dodge effortlessly and suddenly your mind goes blank, you shut off all emotions, you don't want to have to feel the crushing guilt that comes after killing.

It was over in a flash your opponent was dead at your feet, you hear gasps behind you and then realize when you dodged your hood had flown off. You quickly pulled it back over your head but they had all seen.

You walk back briskly, keeping your eyes to the ground. You try to pass the others but one hand reaches out and grasps your arm. You are frozen and tense up instantly prepared to strike if need be.

"(Y/N)?"
