Ugly Patty

She's Gone

"Guys I'm a little worried. Moonlight hasn't shown up in two months now," Sam said nervously.
"I'm getting worried too," Ugly Patty said. "What if something happened?"
Daria looked at them and spoke, "Guys you are worrying for nothing. Nothing would ever happen to Moonlight." The three friends were waiting patiently hoping Moonlight would soon arrive. They hear a knock on the treehouse door and immediately they all jump up hoping to see Moonlight. When they open the door they see Juliet.
"Hey guys," Juliet said.
"Hey, have you seen or heard anything about Moonlight?" Asked Sam.
"No sorry," The Geek Queen said.
"Guys, guys!"
They all hear someone screaming. They look out the window and to their surprise the see David. He's running to the treehouse, he must have new about Moonlight. Once he reached the doorway they all bombarded him with questions.
"Where is she?"
"What happened?"
"Is she okay?"
"Will we be seeing her again?"
"Okay guys I know you're worried, but I just ran all the way here. Give me a break," David said breathing heavily.
"Sorry," they all said at the same time.

      After a two minute break from running, Doodle began to speak.
"Okay so I went to Moonlight's house to ask her mom if she's seen her and this was her response: 'Yea, two months ago Moonlight came home, but she wasn't acting like herself. She went to her room, packed up a backpack and left. She said she needed to go think for a while. She never came back though, so I'm afraid something happened to her'," Doodle said.
Sam was scared, "Did her mom say why she needed to go think for a while, or whatever she was doing?"
"Yea, apparently she was jealous of someone," David said.
They all looked at each other in confusion. Who could she be jealous of?
"Who is she jealous of?" Asked Sam.
"I can't say," David said.
"C'mon you can't keep this from us," Ugly Patty said.
"I'm sorry but I've talked about this with Moonlight before and I can't give this away," David explained.
The friends got frustrated with David. They didn't want him to keep this secret from them. Juliet went over to Sam and gave her a hug to calm her down. Doodle hugged Ugly Patty and Daria to calm them down as well.

         Later that day they get a call from Bartholomew Squiggleton XIII, the ruler of the universe. They told the friends that they found a body in the woods. They are sad to say that it's Moonlight. All the friends are shocked at the sound of the news and they begin to cry. Juliet tries to comfort them all, but it's just not working. For a friend has just died, without a word, without a reason. Rest in peace Moonlight.
