Kuro
So troublesome...
I annoyedly complied with Mahiru's temporary demands. It's a pain to be dragged around like this, but after 24 hours I'll be free again. I just had to wait it out until then.
As he ran down the street to the station I noticed a figure following us for the majority of the trip. It was small, feminine probably. It turned the corners behind us not letting us leave their sight for long.
Maybe Mahiru has a secret admirer? Or a stalker?
I yawned keeping my eye on the figure for the rest of the adventure.
The bright neon lights made me cringe even more.
What a pain...
People around us began applauding causing me to look around for its source. A strange man dressed in clown-like attire. A street performer?
I noticed the devilish glint in his eyes as he spoke. His laughter a bit too maniacal.
Another vampire. I realised it a bit too late since the vampire attacked one of Mahiru's friends.
The applause quickly turned to chaos and fear. The mystery girl watching calmly from the distance, a strange aura surrounding her.
I took the chance to attack the distracted clown and drag Mahiru away from the spotlight and to a nearby alley.
Humans whine and complain like infants. Demanding things that they believe are beyond their capabilities.
As he angrily ran back to his friend I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye.
"You must be Sloth." The mystery girl muttered.
"And who might you be?"
She stepped closer revealing dark brown hair and piercing crimson eyes.
"I'm Despair. Pleasure to meet you."
☀︎
Despair, the complete loss or absense of hope.
Involving ones self with that is troublesome. But there's something unique to her. Something unlike any other vampire I've met. I just couldn't recognize what it was.
I stared up at the moonlight.
Servamp.
Vampires contracted to a human, bound to follow their desires in return for blood. Such a pain.
But I can usually tell if a vampire is a Servamp. But when I stood so close to Despair, I saw no chains. There was nothing holding her back. No rules to follow.
And she chose to let Mahiru and I live.
She's going to be a pain. I can tell.
