“Now Miss. Lenen I want you to think about your happy place.”
Alice was laying down on an uncomfortable bed. Her head rested upon a rigid pillow. She closed her eyes, trying to block out a darkness that began wrapping around her. She clenched her hands tighter.
“Alice, your happy place. Like a warm stream imagine the trickling of the water, or a field of flowers with the warm sun radiating down on you.” Fiona, repeated again, slowly. Alice took a deep breath. Suddenly she was falling.
First everything was dark and mushy, she feared that hands would spring out and grab her but none did. Then she fell into bright blue and whispery clouds. Then she slammed into hard ground but the grass was soft.
Flowers littered the ground and sunlight sprayed down. Alice drank in the warmth and snuggled deeper into the illusion.
“Good.” Came a faraway voice that sounded like the most beautiful music. “Just let your feet relax, and your legs relax. Feel your hips relaxing, and your waist relaxing. Feel your chest relaxing, and your arms relaxing. Your shoulders relaxing, and your neck and head relaxing. Feel your entire body relaxing, all over.”
Alice felt one by one her body going limp till she could no longer feel anything. She looked around panicked.
“Alice remember calm, calm. If anytime you do not want to go through with this tell me.” She calmed herself ignoring the wisps of dark in the corner of her vision. She focused on the heavenly voice. Letting it guide her.
“And the deeper you go, the deeper you are able to go. And the deeper you go, the deeper you want to go, and the more enjoyable the experience becomes.”
The voice was cut and she was transported to a standing up position. She looked down in horror to see she was again in the royal dress.
“Now Alice, I want you to step into your last vision.” She instantly shook her head, she couldn’t go through with that pain again. But against her will she started going towards a door that looked to lead to a void, it made everything around it decay at a rapid pace. She groaned, digging her nails into her palms.
“No, no please I don’t want to.” She pleaded still she walked.
“Okay, Alice im going to count to three and when I snap my fingers you’re going to wake up.” I nodded thankfully. She was nearing closer and closer to the door.
“One.” Alice’s speed picked up. She groaned looking around desperately for anything to grab onto.
“Two.” Oh Goddess she hoped that she would just snap her fingers, she could feel the evil radiating off of the door. It petrified her, her heart stopped.
“Three.”
Everything slowed down, and out of the corner of her eye she saw the man that had forced her to cut her own throat, she screamed and suddenly she was transported from her meadow and into a sea. There was thunder and rain poured from the heavens. Her hair obscured her vision, as the rain instantly soaked it. It was pitch black and she struggled to stay afloat.
Something brushed up against her leg. She looked down, she could just make out the medow she previously had been laying in. The door and man was gone, she wasn’t to swim down to it but she had a feeling that was impossible.
