Klaus Mikaelson paced the room, anxious about the news his brother had just shared with him. Not only did his second biggest threat ever show up but she was armed with a vengeful little witch and the only weapon on earth that could kill him.

"Can you stop pacing, please!" Hayley said, exasperated by Klaus' actions and since she was a newly turned hybrid, that exasperation was heightened.

"Well I'm sorry if I'm slightly worried about the fact that my life is once again being threatened by one of my oldest enemies," Klaus snapped in response.

Hayley rolled her eyes. "Oh come on, Davina and her witch friend? They're not exactly a huge problem," she scoffed.

Klaus shook his head, Hayley did not know Reina Moreau the way he did.

It was almost as if Kol had crafted her to become just like him as soon as she turned. Her actions became wild and she no longer considered the consequences the way she used to. She was fearless, judgemental words no longer harmed her the way they used to. Klaus had admired Reina before she turned. She saw the best in people and was admirable and loyal to those she cared about. But after one fatal accident, she became the worst version of herself.

It was as if she no longer felt any loyalty, to anybody. Her compassion and kindness dripped away, like water dripping down a kitchen sink. She said things without thinking and all love she had once felt for the Mikaelson's was lost and replaced by a burning hatred towards the family, especially Kol.

"You have never met Reina, you don't know how she can be," Klaus said, continuing his pacing and wringing his hands together.

"Really? Name one bad thing she has done," Hayley challenged and Klaus remembered a time he wished he could forget.

New Orleans, 300 years ago.

The Mikaelson's were happy in New Orleans, relaxing in the city they called home. Klaus and Elijah were both captivated by the young boy Marcel, who was like their newest prodigy who they were training up in their name. Klaus taught him strength and fearlessness whereas Elijah thought it would be better for the young boy to grow up as a civilised young man with manners and nobility.

But Klaus grew bored with Elijah prying Marcel away from him so he found himself  in the company of an old friend which he decided to resurrect. His brother, Kol Mikaelson.

He had been daggered for quite some time but since Klaus was bored, he decided it was time to forgive his brother so they could get up to mischief. After all, if you want to have fun, Kol Mikaelson is the original vampire you teeter towards.

However, reviving Kol brought around an enemy they had almost forgot about, somebody who had hated them for six hundred years and could easily take any one of them down at any moment, thanks to her immortality and witch abilities. She may have hated the Mikaelson's but she despised Kol and as soon as she found out he was back, she packed her bags, compelled a few sailors and found herself sailing away to New Orleans.
