I’m getting farther and farther behind the brothers, Dean drives too fast. You’d think someone who was previously wanted by the FBI would try to be a little bit more careful, seeing as getting pulled over could be a problem.
It doesn’t matter too much though, as long as I stay within 50 miles of them, I’ll have a strong signal. I settle in for a long drive, flicking through my iPod until I find a playlist I haven’t completely worn out. This one is a mixture of instrumental movie scores and dark alternative music. The majority of the songs are by Two Steps from Hell, a group who’s name is so ironic when it comes to the work I do, I have to smile when I see it.
I assume it’s going to be a long night. From what I’ve heard, Dean can drive for a ridiculously long time before tiring. Then he’s got Sam to fill in as driver. Me on the other hand? I have to stay awake with the assistance of too much sugar and caffeine.
I find my thoughts wandering to Sam. I know Dean is the lady’s man, the one who leaves a trail of lovelorn women in his wake, but I’ve always been intrigued with Sam, ever since I learned about the Winchesters. I can’t even explain why I can’t get him out of my head, it’s like we’re just connected in some way beyond reason.
