The church had there supper and left after service. Chelsey couldn't stop thinking about how JJ wanted to take her out. She didn't know if it would end like Dawson before anything happened. With Dawson he lead her on a lot and she kept falling for it even though she kept telling her self not to. "He would change" she thought but it never did. He started dating Shannon and they broke there whole friendship off because of it. It broke her heart but life has to go on people life and people go her pastor told her. No one ever saw her like that, broke never smiled only when she was with the little kids. That's where everyone left her because that's only way they could she her truly happy. JJ noticed but didn't take it in to consideration. It hurt not to see her smile she was also so happy and full of smiles.

JJ's pov

"Hey JJ I was just finishing up" "Yes sir I see that anything I can help with" my dad pointed to the chairs. "Can I ask y'all a question" "Yes JJ what is it my pawpaw asked "can I ask your daughter and granddaughter out with yalls permission?"."I think you'll make her day boy" I seen Chels run around the house but I didn't say anything. She don't think I seen her. Everything that happened to her this summer I finally figured out what happened and why she was like that. I asked people around church and the close ones she's around. When supper was ready I seen her walk out of her shed with chase in her arms. She looked really pretty. I found a set next to her and sat down but scooted over a little while she wasn't looking. Pastor Rob said Grace and we ate then left except for me I stayed and helped put stuff away. I was gonna ask her but got too nervous.

A week later I got the courage to ask her. We was in the baby room "hey.. Uh.. Chels" "hey JJ" "can I ask you a question and please be honest with me" "yea" my hands were sweaty and my throat was very dry. "I've liked you for a while and I know you probably don't like me. But I know I can treat you hella better than that boy who hurt you over the summer and I wanted to know if you wanna go out with me Friday?" Chels blushed and put chase down and hugged me I slowly wrapped my arms around her "of course JJ I will" I smiled and felt her smile against my chest. We stayed like that in my arms where I knew that's where she belonged not in that boys arms. *click* we separated quickly to see our pastor take the picture. We both looked at the ground and blushed. "Hey no need to be ashamed y'all" he said and picked chase up "bye y'all see y'all tonight" "yes sir we will" she said.
