-Jariah-

I quietly moved throughout the halls ways, going into empty rooms when pack members rounded the corners.

I accidentily walked into a room with mates.

That was awkward.

"Well, hello there, Gerald. Don't mind me." I laughed as he just shrugged and sat back down on his bed.

"And what are you up to? Beta female?" His mate, Liona, asked.

They were such a cute couple. They were the elders here, and I adored them.

They were my life goals.

Literally.

"Um, I'm a ninja. So if you could just pretend like none of this happened..." I awkwardly trailed off.

"Oh did you hear that? I think the ninja life is calling me back, gotta blast! Love you guys! I'll come visit soon!" I quickly kissed her cheek and left the room.

Talk about awkward.

I sat behind a potted plant, masking my scent.

I laid against the wall, being a ninja is hard work.

I accidentily fell inside the wall.

Oh my God I found secret tunnels.

They were dimly lit, and had peep holes everywhere.

Oh my gosh, did I just become a spy?

I need to tell Adaline about this!!

I mentally squealed.

Stop, Riah. We need to stay on task.

I walked through out the hallways that had many peep holes.

Remind me to cover up the peep holes in my room.

Creeps.

There were these tiny doors along the side, and in closets. But as if I wanted to go into someone's room again.

I finally made it to the Alpha's office.

I looked through the peep hole.

Greyson was hunched over hus desk, sniffling and sobbing.

Oh my sweet potatoes.

Greyson is crying.

-Adaline-

I sat anxiously awaiting Jariah's call that she found Nute and that he's alright.

But it never came.

It's been an hour.

What if she like, I don't know, fainted or something?

I sat on edge, still in my office.

The phone on my desk rang.

"Hello? Alpha Adaline. May I know who I am speaking with?" I put on my Alpha tone.

"It's me, Mummy!" Theigha's voice sounded.

"Hey, Baby. How you doing?" I airily laughed.

"Pop Pops is amazing! He's so coowl, mummy! When are we comih howme? I mwiss you." She sounded sad.

"I'll come get you tomorrow, okay? Then we can have family time." I smiled.

"Okay mummy!" I could basically hear her smile.

-Jariah-

He was crying.

And he had blue hair.

I heard a small whine come from the left of me and I looked over in that direction.

Bingo!

Or should I say, Nute!

"Hey, buddy. We're going to get you out of here and back to Adaline." I smiled as he laid his head on his paws.

Awe, poor baby.

I looked at Greyson's sobbing form.

Maybe if I wait here, he'll go away sometime.

I actually waited for an hour.

Sat there and listened to my Alpha crying.

I guess he lulled himself to sleep.

I slowly, and quietly, stepped put of the 3 foot door that was expertly hidden.

I snatched the keys from where they were hanging and dashed towards the mini door.

It closed. Am I locked out now?

I tapped all the corners.

Nothing.

I turned around and placed my back on it and gently pushed.

Nothing.

I studied the door.

There are these tiny bolts. But there's a bigger one. I like pressing things.

I pressed the bug bolt a wah lah!

It opened!

I quickly danced around on my knees and looked back at Greyson.

That bastard hurt my best friend.

Honestly, I want to move to Adaline's pack.

Her packs just seems so alluring, and I'd be with my best friend all day.

But, then there's Cameron. And I can't leave my dog behind.

My wolf, Jude, whimpered at the thought of leaving our mate.

Chillax dude. We aren't leaving our dog behind. I assured Jude.

We better not be! She growled and calmed down.

I walked to where Nute was being held hostage.

He looks pretty healthy. He just seems Un happy.

"Hi, baby, let's get you out of here." I smiled as he started wagging his tail.

I stuck the key in, Nute started whimpering and pushed his tail between his legs, signaling he was scared. He slowly walked to the corner, still whimpering.

"What's wrong bab-"

"Jariah."

I turned around to be met with Greyson.

"Haha. Wassup dude. Just, getting some jello?"

So like, I forgot to updateee. Lol. But here's le chapter. And since school is starting, I don't think I can update almost everyday. So, I'm going to really try to update about 2-3 times a week.

I'm not sure though....

School starts on Tuesday, and my anxiety is high rocketing.
