Dixie's P.O.V.
It has been two days. families had houses, single wolves had rooms in the pack house. the kids were getting along well, women cooked and men did yard work. we all trained. I had told Damon about my suspicion on how bobby had backed down to easily.
Now we all trained extra hard, even the kids. even though they couldn't do much, they learned how to defend themselves.
I helped watch the youngest children, since I didn't want to leave mine alone to long.
No one ran by themselves, we had pack runs, and half of us stayed with the kids and the elderly.
Pretty soon it had been 9 weeks without any word or any reason to believe we were going to be attacked.
But we never slacked off. we trained harder then before.
And pretty soon, all of our training became useful. we were attacked in the middle if the night. women rushed to get the kids in the panic room. it was underneath the basement. Damon told me to stay in there with the women and kids until he mind linked me. I waited for hours, all kinda of thoughts swirling around in my head.
Around noon, he mind linked me.
'Come out baby, we got someone who wants to talk to you.'
'Be there In a second.'
I told the women where I was going, and to stay here. when I walked out side, the smell of blood assaulted my nose. bodies lay everywhere. most of the bodies weren't from my pack, but from the other. it was a bloody mess out here. the grass looked like it was permanently stained red.
I walked up to where Damon stood. The beta and third in command stood there holding bobby.
"Explain to me why I shouldn't kill you for trespassing!" Damon yelled.
"Because I'm her mate."
silence fell.
"I am not your mate. I never was and I never will be. you rejected me. you attacked my pack, and lost your 'army' of pathetics. explain, with a real reason, on why I shouldn't kill you." I said calmly.
he stayed quiet.
"Let the kids and women out and throw him in he basement, use the silver cuffs." Damon told the gaurds. we went and got Damon's cuts and scrapes fixed up and then went to see our kids.
