We were sitting outside of the venue, only minutes away until we got to see All Time Low, mine and Rose’s favourite band. Even though there were hardly any actual humans left around here, there were a few from other cities that hadn’t been infested with the ‘zombie plague’.
“Attention all people going to enter the venue!” a guy was standing on top of a lift thing with a mega-phone.
“This is ATL’s last show on their Australian tour ok?! So let’s hear it for them!” everyone cheered and yelled excitedly as we were allowed entry into the venue.
They were doing baggage check and thank god they didn’t check mine and Rose’s hand bags we had with us because they were filled with bullets, hand guns of different sizes, pocket knives, daggers, first aid kits, you name it, we probably had it.
We managed to push our way to the front, since what happened not too long ago with the zombies and our friends, we don’t talk much, and we can kind of tell what the other one’s thinking now with just a glance.
As we made it to the front All Time Low were about to come on stage, it wasn’t a very big stage, meaning, Rose and I could go up and jump up onto it without using the stairs.
The boys run out onto the stage eager as hell, and I shoot Rose a promising glance which she returns.
“Whoo! What’s up Melbourne?!” Alex yelled as he got closer to the front of the stage.
They played a variety of old and new songs, and the last one of their 3 hour set was Time Bomb, my favourite song by them. As the song went on I locked eye contact with Alex, probably the highlight of the past 3 weeks for me, even if it was for only about 3 or 4 seconds. I noticed that Rose seemed pretty interested in Jack. I shot a smile her way when she looked my way and she returned, then we started to sing along to the song, it was the first time in ages that we’ve actually had fun and I enjoyed it 110%. When it ended we both yelled and called out saying how good they were and stuff.
“Thank you so much Melbourne!” Jack yelled into his mic.
“Even though it’s our last show in Australia we aren’t doing a meet and greet unfortunately. Sorry guys, but you seriously rocked out and it was amazing to play for you guys. Keep on rockin’ until we come back here one day, GOODNIGHT!” Alex said taking one last look around the crowd and we locked eyes again but for even shorter this time. Then they attacked. About 20 or more zombies came charging through the crowd, I couldn’t see how many because of the amount of people around.
Security guards all ran towards the zombies, armed and ready but one by one, they all either got bitten by zombies, turning them into zombies or they were killed.
All Time Low were still on stage, stunned by what was unfolding as Rose and I grabbed out a hand gun each, full of bullets in the chambers and we had extra bullets in our pockets, we were ready.
“What do we do with our bags? Can’t have the rest of our stuff wrecked” Rose stated so I grabbed both of our bags and threw mine to Alex and hers to Jack.
“Hold onto them for us would ya’s please? And don’t lose them; they are full of our stuff.” I said sternly and they simply nodded, showing they understood.
We got up onto the stage and I shot into the sky, distracting some of the zombie’s attention.
“Alright listen up zombies!” I started yelling, getting about 85% of the zombie’s attentions.
“We can do this the easy way or the hard way, the easy way is that you all leave us alone, never harm or annoy another human again and you don’t die” I looked back at ATL for a second to make sure they were all still behind us, which they were and put another bullet back into my gun, replacing the one I shot earlier.
